We use Zoom Phone and Zoom Meetings. There are many VOIP providers, but we needed something that JUST works. We don't need fancy call center features. We just need a phone, a simple automated attendant, and integration with our CRM to log calls and meetings. Zoom does all of that and the price is good. It is simple to use, works all the time and stays out of the way.
• It works all the time
• It is simple to use
• Audio quality is the best of all the programs we have used
• Video quality is the best of all the programs we have used
• Zoom is just starting with Ai. It would be good to be able to customize the meeting summary prompts
• Better integration with ZohoCRM, so that SMS messages can be logged as well as phone calls.
Zoom is very well suited to small businesses looking for a product that does what it's supposed to do and stay out of the way. The app automatically logs you in when you launch it. No need to log in with username and password all the time. There is always a dial tone and the quality is always good. No complaints by callers that they cannot hear you well. Video quality is always good even in less than ideal conditions. No need to interrupt calls for technical reasons. We can just conduct our business.

Since COVID-19, Zoom has allowed us to migrate to the online platform, which has reduced travel time and cost and made it a very positive experience for our users.
• Breakout rooms.
• AI Summary.
• Recording of Sessions.
• Annotate could be more visible, often first time users have difficulties locating it.
I love Zoom. Meetings, training sessions, and exercise classes work so nicely and effectively, and it has really helped me simplify my lifestyle overall.

We use Zoom almost exclusively for meetings. With the meetings we also use recordings, cloud storage and the AI companion that transcribes meetings and allows live chat interactions with the AI to ask questions during the meeting.
• Wide range of customizable account settings, both for the whole company and at the individual level
• Easy to use in-meeting settings, flexible options for sound and image devices, screen sharing and views
• Quick and simple recording option with clear warning for all participants
• The need for an installed app and the joining process is complicated for one-time users, specially if they're not tech savvy.
• The settings are poorly organized, hard to find and understand, especially being so varied
• The application often consumes a lot of machine resources, which causes performance issues
For quick, one-off meetings I'm more comfortable with a browser application with easily accessible instant link that's easy to join

I use Zoom to hold meetings when we can't be together because of distance or disease. I started using it to teach remotely, and was very pleased I had developed the skills before the pandemic hit. Now I run most meetings in my work as hybrid. While it is good to be face-to-face, it is more important to be able to get together in some form. It is easy to share screens, so it is easy to share slide shows with both the face-to-face and the on-line participants.
• Stable platform
• Easy for people to use
• Screen sharing
• Allowing my student in China to watch Youtube and see Google results without breaking international laws.
• Using the editing functions to write on things is clunky.
• The whiteboard is not as easy to use as holding a little whiteboard up to a screen.
• I don't yet know how to teach the AI how to spell words.
• The AI is set to American English spelling.
It is easier to use that some of the competitors. Sometimes I have been in meetings where we have been trying to use Google Meet or Microsoft Teams and we have given up and shifted to Zoom. This is in particular when someone has an older computer that can't deal with the other programmes.

We use Zoom in our daily basis for video conferencing with our clients, as it provides high quality video and sound quality. It's screenshare feature helps us a lot as in, client wants to see live steps of something xyz and this feature solves that problem, by using this feature client able to understand everything. Till now, It helps in our company's growth and hope in future will also.

Once a day, Zoom helps me a lot because I have an urgent meeting with my client and with the help of this product, I'm able to attend that meeting easily. But some days before I got an issue which is network bandwidth low problem, I don't know why it not much working stable on that day. But this problem automatically fixed after a day.

Zoom is great for your company because most of what we do day-to-day are meeting with large groups of individuals and our work is often visual in nature and having a platform with a screensharing and presentation format makes that much easier for us. The recent AI meeting summary tool has also been invaluable as it allows of to record and glace at meeting notes or discussions that may have been missed or overlooked.
• Screensharing with annotations
• Presenting
• Large meeting groups
• AI tool could be a little more fine tuned and generate summaries faster
• I don't enjoy closing extra browser tabs when opening meetings
Great for meetings with large user groups and for instances here visual aids are needed. Not great for quick calls as picking up the phone and dialing someone is always fastest but definitely helps in scenarios for large group meetings that are planned ahead of time.

Our company uses Zoom for online meetings and inbound/outbound local and international phone calls.
• Online meetings
• Outbound calls
• Inbound calls
• Online management interface is too complicated
• Difficult to understand customization features
• Careless tech support
• Careless billing support
• Careless sales managers
Zoom meeting and phone systems work very well. Had no problems migrating our phone number, making and receiving calls, scheduling and attending meetings.
Nonetheless, Zoom has awful tech and billing support. Our invoices arrived with overage fees that aren't described. The billing support tickets are set to low priority, forcing us to pay the invoices before receiving a response. When responses are sent, they usually point to articles, instead of answering real questions. In the rare occasions somebody decides to answer, they put the blame on us, instead of explaining what the overages are. Reaching out to our sales manager is also useless.
Therefore, although the system works well, in case of problems, you are on your own. It is pointless reaching out to their billing and tech support.
We'll migrate to another service the soonest. Can't stand invoices with charges we don't understand when we have an unlimited plan.

I feel that the customer service is very bad. I received a special offer with a discount for two months for 500 attendees, and when I accepted it, they signed me up for a year subscription. In my experience, when I tried to cancel it, the app refused and got me a message saying it could not be canceled till the end of the year. I contacted customer service, and after many messages, I believe they closed the case without doing anything. I am angry with what I believe is a fraud-like act.

Zoom is very easy to use and saves our team many hours of driving back and forth for in person meetings. The Zoom platform is very easy to use, allows for screen sharing, white board, etc. The mobile app also allows you to take or conduct calls from anywhere as well.

Zoom works great to get our team together without taking everyone out of seperate offices. Keeps our team more efficient and less time communting for remote meetings. We use Zoom often. Allows for more frequent meetings as well. I can't think of anywhere it would not be appropriate to use Zoom.

I used Zoom as the main video conference tool during my time at University for class work and in extracurricular club collaboration. Especially in the height of Covid-19, Zoom was the platform I spent the majority of my working day on. We used Zoom for serious collaboration as well as for networking or team bonding activities that allow individuals to get to know each other further.
• Team rooms
• Screen sharing
• Fun backgrounds
• Access needs to be granted each time for non-meeting owners
• Need to wait 10 min between creating new Zoom call links in the free version
Zoom is very well suited for large meetings when you plan to create break out sessions. The organizer can easily select the number of meetings within the main meeting required and can customize which participants are in each room. Zoom is also well suited for 1:1 meetings. The video quality is high and have very few issues with video and audio connection and quality.

In my opinion, a dangerous platform to rely on.

We had about 2 months where the passwords of our 2 regular Zoom rooms was mysteriously changing. After 6 weeks liaising with Zoom staff, which was an absolute headache, they are still unable to isolate or even understand the basics of the problem. Rather than taking the information I gave them and looking for the problem, each email Was like a fight with me trying to explain to them that I was not scheduling on Zoom I was merely using the same Zoom rooms for the last two years and I have not done anything.

So there I was using two Zoom rooms regularly for about two years and all of a sudden we hit a 1 month period where the password was just changing for no apparent reason. Would you believe I spent 6 weeks trying to get staff and 3 different staff members to understand this sentence! All of our attendees report intermittent problems with Zoom, especially when its update time, I look forward to changing Microsoft team seems to be the best alternative.
• Popular
• Can work in and outside China
• lack of staff
• staff cant problem solve or understand english
As explained, I used for two years without that many problems all of a sudden our password kept changing for two different rooms after 6 weeks of trying to get staff to understand that it was the password to the rooms I was changing. I lost it. In my experience, such a hopeless and frustrating company to deal with

We currently use Zoom for customer calls, meeting with customers, and meeting internally. We also use it to record training videos and staff meetings for internal purposes.
• It allows us to connect with each other and customers easily and quickly by simply sending a link.
• It is user-friendly.
• It has a lot of options when holding a meeting (breakout rooms, screen sharing, recording, etc.).
• It would be nice if the 40 minute time limit weren't an issue.
• The customer service hasn't always been great.
Zoom makes it very easy to quickly jump into a meeting. I like that you can just send someone the link and they should be able to join. It's very nice for people who aren't very tech-savvy. We've also had a good experience using it for customer calls/voicemails.

I'm a psychotherapist and I use it to consult [with] my clients. Since Covid started, I needed a way to interact with my clients and I'm lucky to have found Zoom. I can easily set appointments and exchange information through Zoom's seamless video sessions.
• Better video quality.
• Virtual background.
• I can arrange a collective session with more [than] 5 people. By the way, I use it for counseling and group therapy sessions.
• So many controls, sometimes I get confused.
In my line of work, I mean therapy, it is very helpful. People are more comfortable opening up and share things that they would not normally touch upon. I have seen a great improvement in my work since I have started using Zoom for therapy sessions.

Zoom sells you a phone system that is not flexible in functionality. It is also very expensive (about 80% more) compared to other VOIP systems such as VoIP.ms and other VoIP service providers. The limitations of the software are very basic and also an issue for corporations. It is a static setup. What you see is what you get. If you need to add users, it costs money versus others that are free. The Zoom phone system might be suitable for personal use only. Due to the lack of flexibility in the phone system, I was not able to use it for my purpose. However, Zoom does want you to commit to a 3-year contract which I did not. I was able to set up a 1-year contract which, by the way, is automatically renewable. Please pay attention to that, because Zoom won't allow you to get away even if you don't cancel past one day.
• Selling a Phone System
• Mediocre Setup portal
• Easy add-on tool
• recording of call cost money
• Need to purchase one number per user, which cost money, if not they cannot call out
• Lack of compatibility with Voip phones
Not for corporations only fair for personal use. If used for business it will be costly depending on the amount of users that need to call out

We are using Zoom in our organization to organize and connect during bigger events including external parties. The problem that Zoom is addressing was the limitation that other similar solutions presented, i.e. Google Meet requires any sort of Gmail account to log in to the system, while MS Teams requires installing heavy software that does not always run smooth on Mac ecosystem.
• Video calls for bigger groups including external parties
• Long video calls - the tool is not heave when it comes to system requirements
• Zoom does a good job in filtering background noises and highlighting the current speaker
• Light web-based solution would be appreciated
• There are some concerns about the privacy issues (maybe rumors but can be discouraging)
Small companies communicating mainly internally might have a better use of Google Meet as the tool is embedded with every corporate Gmail account. Also, when a web-based solution is appreciated, Zoom is not the best option.
On the other hand, using Zoom seems way more professional - especially when connecting with people from the US. The connection is very stable and the tool handles numerous participants very well.

I have been using Zoom for several years now and it is a great meeting platform for me and my sales and customer success teams. Recently I've started to see pop-up ads to refer a friend when I close a meeting on the Client app on my Mac. There is also a static banner app on the client asking for referrals. Zoom made this choice back in Nov 2021 for the web-based version, and their FAQs say that Paid Users wouldn't see ads. Obviously, their investors have pushed them to move ads to the client side and to paid users.

Dear Zoom, I do not wish to be a member of your sales or marketing teams. One extra click at the end of each meeting to dismiss the pop-up takes time, and I don't have time for that.

Chatting with your support they indicate that this is the default setting now and that it can't be changed. This needs to change.
Ads cannot be opted out of on the client app.

I'm Not Happy with Zoom

I believe their invoicing department is an absolute horror. I regret my purchasing decision. I have been a very happy paying customer of Zoom for almost three years. The connectivity and quality of web calls is unmatched in the industry. However, their invoicing is a disaster I believe! We upgraded our existing account to use also Zooms' Webinar module on August 19. On that day, a pro-rated amount for the first five days of usage was charged (whatever the logic is there). Then, on August 23, the charge failed for some reason. One day later, the full amount ($85) for the first month got charged from the card. This was confirmed by the bank. However, Zoom did not recognize that the funds were received and sent me email reminders that we should pay. We had to reach out to their chat agents three times and threaten to cancel the account before they eventually escalated it to the next team level I found. This was on August 29. On August 30, they charge the credit card with $85 again, so we paid now two times (!), and they even sent a thank you email confirming the payment - yet, their invoicing department is still claiming they never received neither of the first nor the second payment I've found. Long story short, from my point of view I do not trust this company anymore and we are looking for alternatives.
• Quality of voice
• Screen sharing
• invoicing / billing
Technically, working great- but their billing is some of the worst, in my opinion.

I use it weekly to do training for two different groups. I help indie musicians grow their businesses by becoming better performers and booking gigs! I use it for trainings that are live with people. I also download the meetings for replays and I use it to record trainings that I upload elsewhere. It's a fabulous too for demonstrating different social media as well. I also have learned some of the new features where I can demonstrate from my smartphone and that makes it a wonderful tool to show others in their own business.
• They let you have many users on at the same time.
• You can share your screen with everyone.
• You can record what you are doing.
• You can utilize your smartphone for sharing through Zoom as well in Shared screen mode.
• Zoom's sound has improved but still is hard to hear different instrument timbres.
• When people are not wearing headphones, it's hard to hear them or you get feedback.
• It would be great to have the webinar feature at a lower price. It seems high.
It works great for meetings where there is talking and where you want to share your screen with others to show examples. Webinars are great to run as well because of the sharing screen and video options. But in the case of concerts, it's good but could be better for sound. Also, it would be nice to have the feature wherein the speaker mode, it stays on the main speaker and doesn't go to a random person who forgot to mute their sound.

Zoom is used for meetings when remote workers or staff are out of town. It allows the organization to conduct business, regardless of location.
• More personable with Video!
• Allows callers to see who is speaking
• Mute features so there is not the disturbance of background noise.
• Not all webcams are the same quality
• When using from a Smartphone, it isn’t as user friendly
• Filters would be great (when working from home and need to ‘look’ presentable. (Ha!)

We have a globally distributed team and use Zoom for both our internal calls as well as client calls. The screen sharing feature is really useful and we also record the calls for future reference. It's good to see the team members of other locations on video calls as well. Next, we are planning to use the Zoom API in one of our projects for text messaging through a website.
• Call recordings - we record all our scrum calls and especially the calls where we have to discuss new requirements. That way we don't have to worry about something that may get missed out while taking notes.
• Screen sharing - when we have calls with clients and they are reporting some issue or requirement in the system, they show us the problem via screen sharing. That way there's no gap in our understanding and we can avoid wasting time going back and forth due to miscommunication.
• No connection issues - we haven't had any instances of connection dropping during the calls which is great. Our calls are typically 5-8 members but we have tried Zoom with ~25 participants without any issues.
• If you pause a call recording for a certain amount of time, it would be great if there's a notification somewhere that it is paused. A few times when I was hosting a call, I paused it while waiting for all participants to join but then forgot to resume recording.
• When a message is received on chat, it sometimes gets missed. A more prominent notification (blinking/popup etc.) may be helpful.
Zoom is well suited for meetings between participants in different locations. I sometimes use it just for screen recordings with audio to share it later as well (i.e. start a meeting where I am the only participant).

I use Zoom for online private tutoring and meetings. To be honest, I hate it, especially since they cut times down from 60 - 40mins and want a fee for any more than 40mins. Other free platforms, such as MS Teams is far more superior. Zoom is also severely restrictive on apps, whereas other platforms provide access to more and better apps. The apps they do have also have major problems interacting with Zoom. It has very few features compared to the free platforms. More recently, it has been widely reported that Zoom is beset with many security issues and user privacy is exposed. I would NOT recommend Zoom at all. I am going back to MS Teams and have recommended the switch to all my clients.
Since introducing time restrictions and cost, Zoom is no longer suitable [for my use case].

Zoom has lots of functionality more than Microsoft Teams. Most helpful features:
• Annotate with participants on a screen/whiteboard.
• Remote control another one's screen.
• Private chat between meeting participants.
• Lightweight app, works fine on laptops with sufficient processing and such.
Also, if you would buy a paid plan their plans are cheap and the customer support team is so cooperative and fast responding. I really recommend using Zoom but its chat is not the best thing, but the best thing is meetings. For chat/group chat, it is recommended more to use Microsoft Teams as you can make polls, make certain people access the channel, and more.
• Annotate with participants on a whiteboard.
• Share multiple screens at the same moment.
• Ability to add a co-host.
• Ability to record a meeting.
• In-meeting chat.
• Separate meeting participants into groups.
• Login in to an account when joining a Zoom meeting using a link.
• Add 2FA (2-factor-authentication).
It is more appropriate for meeting discussions and it is not also the best when it is a webinar, because it doesn't have the best functionality needed. But also, it is good if you have a lot of participants in a meeting where you can click the right/left button to switch between participants.

Our Organization uses Zoom to have interactive meeting with clients and consultants during the entire process of the architectural projects. One of the biggest problem that this program addresses is the elimination of distances between our office and clients living in other States. Also, allow our organization to have partners and consultants in other States saving the company money and time for trips.
• eliminate distances between two or more actors involved in our projects
• save money to our company and time to the employees
• easy way to create meetings and allow many people to participate
• Really easy to use
• Maybe empowering the option in deciding who keep on the main screen when multiple people are connected into the zoom meeting
Zoom is well suited in scenarios like when our firm has a project in a different States and after a first face to face meeting (that included time for the flight and money) allow us to speed up the process during all the various phases of the project without having to meeting in person with the client/cnsultant that is working with us on the same project.

I use Zoom for both business and personal use. In business, I use it for virtual meetings and to do demos with clients. I find it to be a fantastic platform for face to face virtual meetings and would recommend it to anyone. I have also started using it personally and we have a family Zoom call every Sunday with family in different states. It is a great way for all of us to be on a call at the same time and catch up on things in a conversational manner and be able to see each other.
• Group meeting.
• Sound quality.
• Able to have breakout rooms.
• Adding additional invitees.
• Rescheduling option.

I believe Zoom is the easiest and best platform for internet-based meetings. It is very easy to use and navigate. Great for both business and personal use. I use it on a daily basis for sales calls and don't know how I ever did calls without it. Great way to collaborate with the rest of my team during Covid that allowed each of us to work from home.
