Likelihood to Recommend Coda is great to build a place for your users to go to and see information. It is easy to navigate through and the variety of content creation is great. However, it is not always easy to create what you want and there is a lot of playing around and learning. Coda also sometimes misses some functionality which is expected. For example, downloading a list of users that have access to the platform. Being able to send push notifications when a new page has been created etc. Overall it is a good tool to use just be prepared to invest time!
Read full review eFilecabinet is the best bang for the buck Digital Document Storage Solution that will replace your Physical File Cabinets in your office and lead you down the paperless digital path. With this price point comes some hiccups and speed bumps that you need to be aware of (broken software due to updates from time to time, missing features, confusing interface due to multiple ways to access your data, etc), but once you find work arounds to these items, you will see how powerful efilecabinet is.
Read full review Pros Flexibility. It's easy to get started on a small scale, but add more complex organization strategies as needed. Integrations. It's simple to ingest data from sources like Zapier for time-saving automations. Useful components. View table data across different formats like cards or custom detail views. Read full review eSignature integration has been a game changer four our organization. The simplification of obtaining client signature on necessary documents through this system has virtually eliminated our need for physically mailing documents to clients. With our documents hosted by eFileCabinet, our team has increased capability to work from home/while on the road without needing to take along physically paperwork. The search function that allows for on-page searching has been extremely useful when we're looking for older documents that we can't quite recall the title of. Read full review Cons It takes getting used to in terms of how the formulas per column is implemented, in contrast to how we build tables in Excel. For organization/team purchase, it would be worth considering having a training for the core team of users. Right now, we do a lot of self-learning. Inability to email charts or image without these objects being hosted on a third party. The community has been great in providing workarounds but it would be much more convenient to be able to have such ability natively. APAC Support. I'm based in Malaysia, due to timezone differences, even with a livechat implemented, the support for each step and conversation takes up to 24 hours per response. Having some hours covered in our timezone would greatly improve customer support experience. Read full review It's only as good as your system for filing. We file by job number and client, without that it would be unusable, figure that out when you implement. Sometimes it's slow to load. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Coda is definitely something that has been proven to drive positive impact in our organization. We have many divisions that can benefit from this that we have yet to explore. It would definitely be worth renewing.
Read full review We do not have any issues with eFile Cabinet. It has become just part of our daily life - finish files and projects and save all the documentation here. Need to research? Find it in eFile. I personally cannot imagine my job without it.
Read full review Usability Coda can seem either really useful or really useless. The extremes of both ends is driven by what our own understanding of what we want to implement. If we lack this understanding, it will be easy to misunderstand Coda's usability especially in the wrong context.
Read full review eFileCabinet gets the job done and is fairly easy to use once you find a few workarounds and understand how the software works. Using the browser interface next to the desktop sidekick app is needed when it should all be included in a single app. Users always wonder "why do I have to open both the browser and the sidekick interfaces to do a simple task". Basically one does what the other doesn't do and Sidekick is needing to be open regardless for the printer/scanner upload functions, but is limited on what you can do compared to the browser interface. The mac Sidekick is still in beta and makes me wonder how much longer it will be supported or updated...
Read full review Reliability and Availability So far in the past year, we haven't had situations that Coda has gone down for us which is great.
Read full review Performance We haven't done any integrations - the initial part of our experience we found that for docs with complex formulas, the page tends to load slowly but in recent months, Coda has improved and optimized the loading times in general and we generally don't find any problems in terms of speed anymore.
Read full review The software loads very quickly, their servers are great. The software can be a tad buggy or quirky at times but it gets the job done which is why it's an 8 out of 10 rating. Their desktop printer and scanner software could use an update so that windows updates don't break it from time to time too.
Read full review Support Rating Mainly due to timezone differences. I think Coda's support in general is well implemented and executed. They know their stuff and are helpful. But since I'm not in the same timezone, solution rates are slower for me, and that's not something I prefer. I work in customer service, too, and more often than not, time is important. Shortening the solution time would be a much greater experience.
Read full review It makes workflow so much easier, including the ability to save in the cloud makes it accessible from anywhere. I save very little on our server now which means this also makes filing more secure. I literally save and research via the platform several times a day.
Read full review Implementation Rating I'm relatively inexperienced but this experience is meaningful. It would have been nice to have some guidance from Coda so that we understood more on Coda's purpose and potential.
Read full review I don't know as it happened before I started working here
Read full review Alternatives Considered While all of the products listed have great features and platforms, there was always one thing missing from them that I would need to get from another application. Coda was the first one we used that really combined some of the best parts of those products and allowed us to use it in one place. I also appreciate the flexibility of creating your own framework and workflow, unlike in other tools where you have to follow how they capture data and organize projects.
Read full review We find eFileCabinet to be more secure than the alternative products we were using at the time, around 5 years ago. The system is far more robust and better suited the large number of files we needed to store, plus the amount of security and restrictions we needed to be able to provide for our clients
Read full review Scalability I think scalability is definitely good here since it's based on number of doc makers. Implementation into each dept becomes simpler. That being said, due to the nature of our work, we find it easier that we have a "super user" and then a team of other doc makers. This would make the doc creation and management more efficient.
Read full review Return on Investment Increased insight for all stakeholders involved--both in terms of overview and details Better grip on issues and escalations--reduced friction, confusion, and higher clarity on status, next actions, and ownership. Reduced time required by those who need to maintain all information. Record (a detail) once and use multiple times. Read full review Pricing is budget friendly. Pay only for the number of users you need. I needed 2, so I pay for 2. Other DMS programs come with up to 5 users and charge accordingly. This gives me the flexibility to grow my business at my rate - not someone else's. Read full review ScreenShots
