What is Equatio?
Equatio aims to create accessible learning experiences in math and science, so that students get choice in the tools that they need to succeed. This includes having math read aloud, using 'math to speech' and visualizing math problems with geometric shapes, manipulatives, and dynamic graphs. Equatio also provides students and teachers with a collaborative and digital space to allow students to work freely and show their thinking.
Equatio also aims to remove barriers to inclusive math, helps to create independent learners, and lets students choose to engage with math and science in a way that suits them best.

(1-12 of 12)I think there are better apps
- it is web based
- it does most math
- I want to change the font
- I want to change the size
- I want more editing rights
- I don't want a graphic inported into my document. I want something I can click and edit
- I don't want to pay for it
Equatio...an easier way to write for STEM.

Equatio Review
- Edit tool. I am able to add formulas to my google slides very easily.
- I am able to use Mathspace to create for example math manipulatives.
- I am able to have a graphing (desmos) tool easily accesible for when working with systems of linear equations.
- On the desmos part of Equatio once I have an equation typed when I zoom in to the linear function I wish there were ways where the viewing range could be adjusted.
- Implementing math and writing is not as easy. Sometimes modifying or combining these two tools is difficult using Equatio.
- There is a very limited functionality when it comes to the output equations . I could type for example, x+4 and only be able to make it regular, small, medium or large. Sometimes I need more options.
Equatio- Great, but could be better.
- Digital manipulatives.
- Voice typing the math.
- Reading math problems correctly.
- There are many options available so that it can be overwhelming. A tiered level based on grades would be helpful. i.e., K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9+.
- The reading tool be more prominent.
Honest review
- Range of symbols
- Handwriting recognition
- Works in Google docs and slides
- Handwriting recognition is good but sometimes slow

Equatio - limited exposure review
.
- teachers appreciate the form creator (though it has limitations)
- interactive manipulatives are great
- assigning assignments is so simple and easy
- in the forms creator sometimes regardless of the level the questions are difficult or not exactly what was asked for
- using the tool is not very easy for students - it is difficult for them to show their thinking without following many steps - students who require this tool are often struggling academically and it would be great if it could be simpler
- The coordinate plane shape can only do up to 13 ticks before the labels make it unreadable (and stroke width 1 doesn’t work when selected)
