Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I am the Corporate Recruiting Manager for a healthcare company, and we employ many college students and recent graduates in a number of positions. This product is one of many tools we use in finding candidates for open positions. I manage the usage of the site myself.
Pros and Cons
  • They are a great way to target new college grads in a variety of roles.
  • They have a huge reach when it comes to colleges both nationwide and across the world.
  • The site is a little misleading when you sign up, as I didn't realize I can only post one free job per day.
  • The resume database is not easy to filter down.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is very well suited for entry-level positions, or even part-time or PRN, where they can work around their school schedule. I think for any positions requiring specific experience, this is not going to be the best place to find those types of employees.
Most Important Features
  • It is an added tool to target a specific audience to fill our recruiting needs.
  • We have a lot of locations, and many are in college towns, so this tool is very helpful in that regard.
Return on Investment
  • It has had a positive impact. For the cost, one hire more than pays for this service for months and months.
  • Very minimal cost on our end to reach thousands of potential employees.
Alternatives Considered
Barefoot is not in the realm of Indeed or ZipRecruiter, but we have over 8,000 employees, many of whom are probably 18-25, so this targets that specific audience.
