- The email automation feature
- Not compatible with financial services compliance reporting. I use Yahoo for my domain. The records they provided were not compatible with Yahoo. They suggested I get a new domain provider. Obviously, that was not a solution given multiple systems would be impacted adversely. Hatchbuck finally came up with another solution via a third party vendor (Singrid) who provided a BCC feature. Apparently that service is going away in June and there is not an alternative.
- No refund offered upon terminating given they will not be able to provide a solution for my compliance requirements. I was told to see Terms & Services - shameful.
- Too complicated for little to no service.

- Email marketing. Their WYSIWYG email editor has a lot of options for customization, but also offers templates if you're not great with code or you're in a hurry.
- Keeping contacts organized. There are tons of ways to categorize contacts - using tags, labels, and other data.
- Automated contact "points." You can set up automations to add or subtract points from contacts based on their behavior (site visits, social media visits, clicks, etc.) to gauge how warm/cold your leads are.
- Customer service. Their team is really stellar and they really care about their clients!
- Servers. Their servers are a little slow sometimes, making it a bit painful to make changes/saves.
- I may be nitpicking, but I don't like having to click multiple times to confirm something. I'd rather their interface require one click for most actions and have an unobtrusive "undo" dialog box that pops up in case you didn't mean to make a change.

- It's very user-friendly and easy to navigate
- All automation is based on the tag system, making it very easy to set any nurturing campaign
- They have an excellent support team! Quick to respond and find a solution.
- It'd be great if the tool had landing pages and calls to action. It would eliminate the need for multiple tools and streamline the efforts and results.
- Form design could be better. Although there can be custom coded, the default options are pretty basic.

Marketing automation for the win!
- We love that actions the customer takes, like opening an email, clicking a link, etc. adds up to a 'score' for them. This helps us gauge the level of interest from a customer in one glance.
- Their drag and drop email composer is easy to use and flexible enough to customize as we wish to align with our branding.
- Automated campaigns are easy to setup and we love that we can add notifications to alert us when a customer takes a certain action (fills out a form, clicks a link, etc.)
- We also heavily use their API to sync data and start campaigns, it's been a great way to automate as much as we can.
- They've recently updated their reporting metrics, so we'd love to see that trend continue and have the ability to create really customized reports.
- Similarly, they also recently updated their email composers and template library, but the more design options the better!
Great Training Wheels for Small B2B Compnay
- Emails - Hatchbuck has recently enhanced their email template collection. That said, most of ours use plain text. It's easy to design your own, though.
- Support - whenever I have had an issue or question, the responsiveness has been exceptional.
- OnBoarding - I had a 1:1 consultant to meet with me over my first several months who was delightful and capable, helping me learn the system.
- Campaign design could be strengthened with the use of visual mapping as many other marketing automation offers.
- They've only just introduced a mobile solution, and it is not very practicable for managing; rather it seems designed for sales reps on the move.
- The reliance on tags can become quite "clunky" over time. Their CRM is wonderfully integrated but not as strong as standalone products.

- Very easy to learn and use. Navigation is intuitive.
- Scoring feature is customizable and covers all the basics: email opens and click-thrus, web visits, form submits.
- Customer service is fast and helpful; your questions are treated with urgency because they know you're probably on a deadline.
- Pricing is very fair for all you get in a subscription.
- No phone app yet.
- API is only 1 way (into Hatchbuck).
- No Boolean logic to filter on (although this feature is allegedly coming).

Hatchbuck has been a Game Changer for the University at Albany executive Weekend MBA Program!
- The online forms capability has been amazing. I'm able to connect my landing page to Hatchbuck and a prospect's information is automatically transferred into a record, eliminating data input time, once they click submit.
- I use the campaigns feature quite a bit. In fact, I'm running 12 now and will be developing a few more.
- Notifications and Tasks. Notifications have been important to me by letting me know when prospects hit a certain threshold or level of interest. Once notified, I can follow up with. Tasks enable me to connect with certain people in meaningful ways to enable we keep their top of mind awareness.
- It took me a few months but I also use the Deals feature. I established quite a few stages for each deal and I'm able to track how many "hot" prospects I have and where they are in the sales funnel. I didn't have this capability before I started using Hatchbuck.
- They may be a little behind the curve when it comes to some of the advanced features, such as integrating various calendars and e-mail clients.
- I would like to see them more integrated with social media platforms, such as keeping track of social media activity and adding more platforms that they track within a record.
- The onboarding process was a bit bumpy and took much longer than expected.
It addresses the issues of tracking information and call downs and allows us to do targeted emails to specific folks. The tasks feature is the BEST!

- The customer support is excellent and l love the recent addition of email tips and info from Hatchbuck.
- Upgraded email features have been very helpful and easy to use.
- The tags are great to sort folks based on different areas they participate in.

- Emails creation: The drag-and-drop email creator is very easier to learn and powerful enough to create graphical; click-based emails.
- Website Page navigation notices: using the Java Script forms provided in NB, I was able to add notices of whenever a registered HB contact clicks on one of my webpages.
- Scoring, Tags and Tag Actions: using the Scoring feature, my leads are automatically elevated/reduced in priority bases on they actions (i.e. a link click increases their score while and unsubscribe reduces. I didn't immediately appreciate the power tags but now I use tags to note a variety of important information such as lead interests. Last, I use Lead Actions to immediately send a targeted email to leads that clicked 1 or more times on an email or website link that shows a particular interest as a Photography.
- Campaigns: I'd like to see some fully created sample campaigns with a series emails so I have examples.
- Fee: I'd like to see an incremental fee structure rather than the current doubling from $99 to $199 per month. I'd really like to maintain more than 2500 contacts but the next level for 10,000 contacts to twice and far more contacts than I need. Likewise, I would like to have 2-3 users but it would cost double to add them. I believe this fee structure is leaving money on the table since am not willing to double my monthly fee but would consider an incremental increase.
While Hatchbuck does not have all the bells and whistles of other marketing automation softwares, it serves as a CRM and Marketing Automation tool that allows our small business clients to do inbound marketing at an affordable rate, while not compromising quality of delivery.

- Built-in Landing pages. Currently you have option to integrate with several providers.
- Not ideal for enterprises requiring ERP- level software.
- Not a great e-commerce solution.
Perfect for service based business [insurance, realtors, plumbers, etc.], small companies where lead generation is essential [ manufacturers, distributors, Chamber of Commerce, etc.]
Non-profit organizations are a great fit due to the cost of entry and list segmentation features within Hatchbuck.
- Hatchbuck provides all website forms for landing pages and other prospect interactions with the ability to redirect to thank you pages for further nurturing. Once the lead is captured, they are then scored based on their behavior on the website.
- Our clients use Hatchbuck for all outbound email to their prospects to provide awareness about new articles, newsletters, and more. Additionally, Hatchbuck enables email campaigns to nurture prospects based on the way they engage with website content. By automating nurturing the product enables clients to keep qualified prospects engaged until they are ready to buy.
- Hatchbuck provides the analytics for the engagement with the website by each and every individual. Standard reports enable our clients to gain insights into prospect progression through the buyers journey stages.
- Hatchbuck needs to implement the ability to send outbound emails based on an RSS. An example is sending a blog notice email when it publishes. Currently this has to be done manually.
Hatchbuck is a winner.
- Event driven emails. We provide a number of services and when potential customers access our website and inquire about one of those services, Hatchbuck sends follow up emails that assist those prospects in becoming customers. It also notifies us of someone's interest.
- Event notifications. When someone clicks one of the links in our emails, Hatchbuck notifies us immediately so we can respond.
- Customer Service. Whenever we have a question about how to do something or a potential new feature, the Hatchbuck team is very responsive. Often the "potential new features" have already been handled.
- Ease of use. Hatchbuck is relatively easy to use and intuitive. Any issues or questions are easily handled by Customer Service.
- Date driven emails. It would be nice to generate emails on a date (i.e. December 18th) or time of month (i.e. 3rd Thursday in November). The Hatchbuck team has told me that this suggestion is on their list of improvements.

- The product is simple to use but can be as complex as you would like it to be.
- Customer service and support are great. Always responsive and quick to find a solution.
- The email templates and instructional videos have been helpful.
- They definitely understand marketing and have created a simple system to support content delivery.
- The product's social media integration is still developing and growing.

- Very easy to use - Hatchbuck makes using the program a cinch.
- Easy implementation - Merging contacts over from previous CRMs is simple.
- Customer support is great - they are prompt and knowledgable.

Hatchbuck- Simple & Effective
- Allows you to tag contacts on import in order to differentiate between groups of customers. This is great because when we are wanting to follow up with conference attendees, we can filter by that tag.
- Hatchbuck sends out mass emails in waves in order for our email to NOT be sent to spam.
- Hatchbuck has GREAT customer service. I have worked with the same rep from the date of subscription and have NEVER had to reach out to anyone else. If she does not have the answer for me, she will find out in a timely manner and not pass me along to someone else.
- Hatchbuck seems to be a perfect fit for the functions our company needs.
Hatchbuck - A Great Email Automation Platform for Someone Looking for a Simple and Straight-Forward Platform
- Hatchbuck is great at email template creation.
- Hatchbuck is great at responsive email designs.
- Hatchbuck is great at tagging and segmentation.
- Hatchbuck is missing some functionality in the automated marketing side in regards to list segmentation/management.
- Newsletter / Email Marketing: Totally replaced MailChimp and added more features for us to leverage our newsletters.
- Automated marketing that is super simple - helping us inform prospects and guide applicants through an application process automatically.
- Integrating all steps of the relationship from fresh lead to confirmed customer.
- Forms - Very easy to set up and implement forms and connect them to campaigns, deals, etc.
- Reporting works on Hatchbuck, but making it more customized and robust is on their roadmap.
- Having multiple pipelines if you have different sales cycles for different products would be a great improvement.
Hatchbuck is a key part of my lead tracking
- The ease of use of this product was a key factor in choosing Hatchbuck.
- The low entry cost and the fact that no long term contracts are required also played a critical role in choosing Hatchbuck.
- The low cost also helped in my decision as I begin to use more of its features. I didn't want to pay a high price for a software program that had features I would never use or at least would not use until a much later date, in essence, wasting money up front. I have full intentions to fully utilize other great features, however, the low cost of Hatchbuck makes it a good value even if I were to only use it as nothing more than a prospect/customer database.
- When creating a new note, I would like to see the 'Update Last Contacted date when saved' check box at the top and not the bottom of the page.
