It is my understanding the company currently uses BlueJeans Meetings but it is being phased out for the most part and replaced by Microsoft Teams. I use BlueJeans Events to do Virtual Instructor Lead Training (VILT). So, in general, most people will use Microsoft Teams going forward. I will continue to use BlueJeans Events.
  • Easy to use
  • Good control console
  • Good online support (docs and videos)
  • Only one person can drive the slides which makes it hard when someone is presenting and has to continue to say "next slide"
  • It seems that if the Moderator changes something in the platform set-up another email goes out to participants
  • Would like to be able to write on a white board from any PC
Another one is you can't play a video via a PowerPoint slide. It has to be played by the Moderator.

We were using BlueJeans meetings spontaneously, but since March, we have increased our usage by 1000%.
Within August we had:
  • 11213 meetings
  • 488 users with accounts
  • 52338 participants involved
  • 129 recordings

A couple of weeks ago, we purchased the BlueJeans Event App and we are planning to have our first online town hall for 1000 users. We are so happy with BlueJean's functionality, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of having a professional VC platform. I would like to say thank you to the BlueJeans Support Team; they are great!
  • Quality
  • Speed
  • Simplicity
  • Support
  • Virtual background for the event app.
  • Lock screen with password protection.
  • Possibility to see Q&A in Polycom rooms.
BlueJeans is a very good platform for online meetings and events. It’s very useful for Service Desk people so they can communicate and solve the issues. Capacity for one meeting is 25 but you can increase that up to 100 users. With the event app, you can have 500 or more. I can use BlueJeans everywhere and on any device!

It is being used across the entire organization from the Project Mangers, to the Superintendents, to the office staff.
  • Integrates easily with Room based systems.
  • Industry standard controls.
  • Easy to provision.
  • Contract renewal is seemingly more painful than it needs to be.
  • They seem to be chasing other vendors (Zoom) with features.
  • We've brought in BlueJeans people for training - it wasn't very good - had to do our own.
Works well for us because it works on any device, including room systems. People in the field and the boardroom can join in.

We've been stressing that Teams is better for small groups (4 or less), and BlueJeans is better for larger groups.

BlueJeans is a tool utilized across the Expedia Group team globally. With large distributed teams, effective remote communication is critical and BlueJeans is used at the team level, for cross-team purposes, for large and recurring employee meetings and for company-wide meetings. BlueJeans provides video, audio and screen sharing capabilities which are useful for any situation where meeting attendees are in different physical locations.
  • For larger meetings, BlueJeans does a great job of handling active speakers and bringing their video to the forefront while they are speaking. This goes a long way toward bringing all employees to the table in a meeting setting and makes it easy for participants to follow the flow of the meeting, especially in event format meetings with hundreds of participants.
  • BlueJeans does a good job of calendar integration making it easy to add/create single or recurring meeting invites with an associated BlueJeans meeting within the invite so all attendees are able to manage and join meetings with ease.
  • Reliability is the biggest challenge I see with BlueJeans. There are times when BlueJeans seems to handle the demands of a big company seamlessly, but then there are other times when BlueJeans runs into issues that I've seen affect entire offices for extended periods of time which creates a challenge for the teams who depend on BlueJeans to effectively run their remote meetings. While in the grand scheme of things, these outages have been few and far between, when they happen people aren't able to start their BlueJeans meetings and have to scramble for an alternate way to meet (while attendees are simultaneously having issues trying to dial into the BlueJeans meeting).
  • Aside from the occasional outage, the quality of the video and audio is pretty solid. With variables that are likely outside of the BlueJeans product (office connectivity, bandwidth issues, internal routing) there are times where BlueJeans would either lag or echo which would either impact the output for the host of the meeting (who likely has a room full of participants) or multiple attendees. It would be great to see BlueJeans enhance their packet handling in these cases to prioritize audio over video (and perhaps auto-adjust video quality when there are bandwidth issues).
BlueJeans is a great collaboration tool for remote teams, both large and small. With solid video, audio and screen sharing tools it brings teams together for face-to-face dialogue which is crucial for running effective meetings and active participation with all attendees. I've experienced BlueJeans handling the demands of large scale company events including our monthly product reviews (attended by hundreds of employees) and company-wide meetings (Town Halls, etc.). It's used daily by most everyone at the company whether they are running meetings and/or attending and participating in other meetings.

I've been using BlueJeans for 2 years, and I can say that it is very useful both for individual meetings and team meetings. We use it in all teams of all countries where the company is based, so it helps us a lot to save time and resources. Also, with BlueJeans, we have the ability to connect with our suppliers around the world, making it easy to securely solve our problems.
  • The best of BlueJeans is the confidence that I have when use it.
  • In general, it has great stability, and the integration with Outlook makes meeting scheduling go smoothly.
  • The video and sound work very well, also the UI is very easy to understand.
  • We have had some issues/bugs sometimes with the Outlook plugin, but in general it is very good.
  • One improvement would be for the participants to be able to draw or write over the presentation when screen is shared (like a shared board). It would be helpful in work meetings, mainly when engineers are working on product development.
  • Another idea for improvement is to develop a feature that allows us to take meeting minutes, and at the end of the meeting the software could send it to all participants. This feature would help to improve the workflow and the backup and traceability of the decisions.
  • Finally, the feature of scheduling meetings should be improved: it doesn't have reversible interaction with Outlook, so when you try to schedule a meeting in the native software, it does not take the emails directly from the Outlook database. It is a shame because the resource is very good, but when you want to schedule from the app in your phone, you need to "remember" the emails or take them from another place.
  • BlueJeans is very well-suited when a team meeting, or one-to-one meeting is needed.
  • It is very useful to solve quickly issues that usually are solved by email.
  • Also, it is very good for making webinars with a lot of people involved.
  • Finally, a very good scenario is, when you are traveling and you need to make a meeting, you can use the app BlueJeans in your phone to attend.
  • I don't see a business meeting situation where it would not be appropriate.

It is used for client conference calls and all-company broadcast events. Some of our clients use BlueJeans and we use it for internal meetings also. The all-company broadcasts are for 3500+ staff globally at 11 sales centers and remote users.
  • The Audio/Video quality is always good.
  • We have not experienced any hosting server issues.
  • It supports browser-based meetings. There's no requirement to install the full client.
  • Pairing with room systems can be a bit convoluted.
  • The event recording/conference start should be automatic.
For large events and broadcasts, it works really well. We have between 500 and 1000 individual connections to events with no discernible quality impact. The interface is quite easy, though the moderator screen is very "busy".

The whole organization uses it for meetings and calls, internal and external. It's a well designed solution for connecting teams all over the world. I mostly have good experiences without lag or delay on connection, and it's really practical to set up a meeting link and send the invitation.
  • Audio calls
  • Video calls
  • Easy access and connection
  • Easier access for people outside the organization - that don't have the app, for example.
  • Sometimes there are problems with connection, would be good to have some way to run an analysis and problem solving.
Easy to set up meetings, create links to access and share with people. Has a very good connection for audio and video calls.

It is mostly being used for scheduling sessions with SMEs for teams accepted to our events. We also use it for our online hackathons as a webinar tool and to schedule meetings. As the core user within the organization, my team gets trained on the basics when they wish to schedule meetings or webinars.
  • Connectivity
  • Easy screen screen sharing
  • Great audio
  • Great moderator tools
  • Troubleshooting audio connectivity in the session.
  • More company branding opportunities.
  • Option to choose waiting music and pictures.
We tried recording a webinar session but this did not work due to audio issues so we resulted to BlueJeans meetings to do this. I believe an ability to record keynotes, edit and play through a webinar or meeting would be a great addition. Perhaps also multiple link scheduling for speed dating or matchmaking sessions would be innovative and new in a platform such as this.

  • Multiple departments across the organization are using BlueJeans at high capacity; daily, long meetings.
  • The main issues we may face sometimes would be the voice cutting, especially if too many users on BJ events and sometimes high delay in presentation shared when across different regions.
  • Easy to use from Phone App
  • Easy to set meetings
  • When using the phone app, we cannot access contacts in MS Outlook, only the ones stored on the phone.
  • Higher bandwidth in BlueJeans events.
  • BlueJeans is very handy and easy to use when setting global town hall meetings for the organization, across multiple regions. It can include about 1000 participants.
  • However, BlueJeans needs to strengthen its productivity when it comes to sharing presentations and streaming videos during large scale events. On a few occasions, the delay was over 1.5 minutes.
Always helpful

BlueJeans is used among my whole organization as a basic tool for teleconferencing. Both for project meetings and town halls. As a teleconferencing solution, it allows us to chat through cameras in meeting rooms, but also through laptops and mobile devices. It is widely used across all teams within the company as it significantly helps us cooperate between people working in different countries/continents.
  • Good screen sharing functionality.
  • Automatic adjustment of picture/sound quality in case of network connection problems.
  • Nothing particular. It's ok as is.
Well suited for multi-location teleconferencing purposes. Whenever you need to cooperate with distant users it's a good choice. Same if you want to perform town hall-type meetings/speeches for different locations. It's not the best choice for small, daily chats/conversations between end-users as it requires too much effort to be quickly used. For more official meetings it's great.

BlueJeans is being used by our entire employee population of ~2,500. Everyone uses it for all personal and team meetings, and we use "Events" for our training webinars. It solves the problems we had with our previous provider. It is the ease of use, Events, Meetings, and Large Meetings to solve many issues we previously ran into!
  • BlueJeans Events interface is perfect for Webinars. The Moderator/Presenter has the perfect amount of control, and it looks excellent for participants.
  • Ease of Use for end-users is fantastic.
  • The BlueJeans Nuuc computer has issues from time to time with needing to be manually restarted or the computer needing updates.
  • BlueJeans support is sometimes unable to diagnose an issue as deeply as we need.
BlueJeans works excellent when used for Events & Meetings. The interface is easy, and the controls are easy to use. The audio and video quality is usually great as well. The admin controls are great, and we often use the Command Center to diagnose issues or Live Meeting Control. I think the BlueJeans Rooms could use some streamlining. They aren't as stable as we would like.

We used BlueJeans several times for large scale, company-wide electronics meetings. Our normal solution for web-based meetings was not able to accommodate the number of attendees needed for some of our all-company meetings, and we used BlueJeans several times instead. Its purpose was to allow the dissemination of meeting info across the entire organization.
  • Accommodated a large volume of attendees.
  • It's easy to connect to the meetings.
  • A great improvement in audio quality is needed.
  • It needs to be able to handle low bandwidth.
In terms of ease of use, BlueJeans is great for large scale meetings, but when you have a diverse range of computer types, locations and connection speeds, and a mixture of corporate network environments paired with VPN users connecting from home, BlueJeans did not do well in our environment.

BlueJeans is used across the organisation globally in all departments. It cuts out travel for the most part.
  • Easy to use
  • Can be rated at the end of the call so it enables continuous feedback
  • Record button could be added by default
  • Prime time not easy to understand (participant)
  • Default location should be on the first line when connecting for a call
I think it's mostly suited for meetings with fewer members. So far using Primetime takes a while until you log in. All the times I have attended a Primetime meetings I've missed at least 15 minutes trying to join the call.

We used BlueJeans primarily for all our meetings; it is fast and works on a slow network. The mobile app is also useful when you are away.
  • Good quality calls
  • Screen sharing and control
  • Its good, error while no or less network coverage
  • Sharing the meeting link more intuitively
BlueJeans is well suited for board meetings, or deep-dive discussion. I feel it's essential everywhere, and it takes bandwidth if everyone connects in the same room.

We use it to conduct distance learning and training for our staff members, as well as periodic employee staff meetings so participation from remote venues can participate.
  • Users can connect with a wide variety of devices.
  • It is very easy for users to join in on a meeting by following a simple link.
  • Proprietary software and hardware is not needed to participate.
  • Recording and archiving of meetings is cumbersome.
  • Stored meetings cannot easily be shared or accessed by persons who could not attend the meeting.
  • There are frequent audio and feedback issues when making presentations which are distracting to the presenter.
Excellent for allowing off-duty or busy employees to still participate in important training or meetings when they would otherwise have to missed the information presented. Not well suited in areas with limited access to broadband internet.

We use it for administrative purposes, teaching activities, and project planning and evaluation.
  • The voice and and screen transmission is very stable.
  • The access to a meeting is usually very easy and fast for our invitees
  • The recording of the sessions is good.
  • Improvements when doing PowerPoint presentations and access to other tools such as chat are needed.
  • The presenter needs to confirm easily what the participants have in their screen.
In general, it is very good for webinars and management meetings. We use it mostly for both of them and it works very well. I think it would be very good to have a recording alert. Sometimes I just forget to switch on the recording and I realize that the option is off when the session is about to finish. Secondly, we alawys need to edit the recording sesion using alternative software. Lastly, and least important, we recieve 2 recoding files, which is confusing. A collleague received them and just sent the short one. I think you have to fix it.

BlueJeans is used across WGU for a plethora of reasons. From student to staff, with staff creating the meetings. I would imagine our Enrollment and Course Mentoring would use this project the most, since those groups can reach across the United States. The problem that other departments face is that they seek something they are more familiar with. Our company as a whole is pushing towards Microsoft Teams.
  • In many instances we have used BlueJeans Events for a monthly Town Hall. It has served 4,000 attendees at a time with only a small percentage of issues.
  • BlueJeans has done well with moderation controls. A moderator has the power to change the meeting as seen fit for the needs of the meeting with recording, booting attendees, approving Q&A, locking meetings, and more.
  • BlueJeans also does well with Administration. We have the ability to change SSO certificates at will, push permissions to users at a large rate, and step into live meetings to assist on demand.
  • Many people don't yet prefer BlueJeans in our company due to the lack of breakout rooms, PPT uploads, and the requirement to upload videos to play them.
  • Using the SSO login doesn't give me the control of manually provisioning accounts. I have to call their customer support line if there is an issue with SAML provisioning.
  • The service charges for events in customer hours watched. This racked up a large bill as the company scaled.
For meetings between company associates or interviews outside of the company, this product can do very well.
If there is an education system where staff are reaching out for methods of displaying educational content, this platform can feel limiting.
For people who are willing to test out new software platforms, BlueJeans does very well. There is enough of a learning curve for its use that higher education staff can feel hesitant.
This rating comes from end user experience. When they step into a meeting, they get asked to put in SSO credentials if the meeting is restricted. In many cases, the meeting is open to anyone and staff needs to enter a name to continue. Some staff will forget to add a name and come in as a Guest. Call in options will only provide the phone number for the person calling in on the participant roster.
This overall can be a little confusing for some, but to others this is a great service.

We use BlueJeans across the entire organisation locally in Sydney, as well as in all of our domestic and international remote offices. Australia, NZ, the US and South Africa. This is used for internal and external meetings as well as entire company "Town Hall" meetings. This enables us to have video and/or phone conference calls and the ability to share screens from any participant.
  • The support mechanism is the key to BlueJeans. There can be areas that need to be defined during the network setup. When issues arose in the early days, we had support from all facets of BlueJeans locally and internationally
  • The video conferencing is always very good and the ability for any participant to share their screens is handy.
  • The Dolby software is always being improved, but we do find that noisy callers can disrupt without knowing. Having some AI to detect noisy callers with background noise but no vocal would be handy.
BlueJeans is certainly well suited for a large corporate environment with multiple users. It is also used for one-on-one conversations, which work well even internationally.

It is not very good for technical troubleshooting like a Webex would be, but that is not their use case.
Once you're familiar with it, the system is easy to use; however, new users tend to struggle until they install the end user applications rather than use browsers.

The sync-up to Outlook makes it extremely easy to click on a meeting and connect even if the application is not installed, but default mic and headphones setup work better with the BlueJeans application itself.

It's used across the whole organization. I don't know which org uses it most, but it definitely addresses the problem of departments being spread out across the globe. This allows them to collaborate and meet face to face, allowing them to be more productive.
  • Video Conferencing is a great experience with BlueJeans, no jitter and quality is excellent.
  • Dolby Voice Room with BlueJeans makes it very easy to manage your meetings all from the Dolby conference phone.
  • BlueJeans Events is by far the best solution for hosting large All Hands meetings.
  • It's very easy to setup and manage.
  • It would be nice to have the ability to turn on presentation sharing from any Presenter during a BlueJeans event when Moderating.
  • More control from the Moderator console.
I would recommend BlueJeans for any organization small or large. BlueJeans and BlueJeans Events are very user-friendly and work with very few issues.

We use it to stream a monthly event on Facebook and for training meetings with the social media influencers we represent. We also use it to stream private trains into Facebook groups.
  • BlueJeans is great for livestreaming onto Facebook pages and groups
  • BlueJeans is great for meetings with up to 50 participants in a private setting.
  • BlueJeans' recording feature is great for replays of trainings or meetings.
  • BlueJeans doesn't allow you to add a custom lower thirds to the video. It does display the name of the person (as they provided it when they registered with BlueJeans.)
  • BlueJeans doesn't allow you to use a placeholder post on Facebook so that people can see an event is coming up on your page.
It is great for private online training with the ability to add up to 50 participants through the inline link or call in. It is also great for Facebook if you don't need the placeholder post.
It is very easy to join, just follow the pink and give your name. There is an app, but you don't have to download anything.

BlueJeans is used by our bureau within our department. Our state-wide bureau uses it to broadcast live conferences with approximately 600 attendees, as well as to video conference with new staff. New staff are taught by this on new and current regulations governing health care providers. Staff may attend while at home, which decreases travel and overnight accommodation costs.
  • Ease of use in scheduling conferences and teaching sessions.
  • Solid connectivity between trainer and users.
  • Screen share is optimal.
  • Can't think of any.
It is well suited for training to remote locations. It is also well suited for video conferencing to large audiences.
Easy to use, great "behind the curtain" support. During one recent conference attended by over 600 people, less than 25 had any difficulty joining the conference.

BlueJeans is being implemented across our organization. It is being used for small meetings for individual projects or departments as well as our larger corporate events with 4000+ attendees. It does very well for small group meetings as well as larger broadcasts. It does well for sharing screens and presentations.
  • It does well for large broadcasts up to 15,000 people. Our company currently has 5,000 users and it's great to have each of them be able to connect to the broadcast.
  • The moderating tools are very alert and intuitive. It allows us to control whether a presentation is being made or if it's a more collaborative meeting.
  • Being able to record each meeting is an excellent tool for those who are not able to be in the meeting. And having a link ready for that video is a great tool.
  • Sharing content works great, but videos or audio is almost unusable when sharing. It would be nice if you could just play a video or music over screen share instead of having to send the link or file.
  • The video quality is lacking. We have never been able to get full HD even with a 2GB connection. We will get lucky to get 480p
If you need to hold a remote meeting where content will be shared from all attendees, this will work great. If you are looking for a high quality broadcast platform, there might be others that are better out there.

It is used for rooms, meetings and large broadcast events daily, weekly and monthly. It is being used across our organization. It addresses issues of creating/organizing an on the fly meeting with remote users quickly and with ease.
  • User-friendly: it is easy to use software as well as the web UI, easy to instruct other end-users on as well.
  • Large numbers for capacity: meetings and events are able to host LARGE numbers of users, more than most competitors.
  • Improvements: Our BlueJeans reps are constantly hearing our complaints and problems, and they hear us. They continue to raise the bar and continuously provide the product they promise and improve on it, rolling out updates and improvements fro us.
  • Stream quality capped at 720p: Our broadcast events would look so much better if we could reach a stream quality of 1080p.
  • Videos cannot be played inside a power point over a screen share: You are forced to upload any video you want to share.
BlueJeans is well suited for any meeting where one or more remote users are participating, BlueJeans is less suited for an in-house, local meeting with zero remote participants and zero content to share.

In addition to providing access to BlueJeans for resellers and end users, we use this solution internally. We use a mix of both the meetings tools and BlueJeans Events for webinars and presentations. Because it is simple to use, it allows us to present and self-moderate. The training was also quick meaning that more colleagues can present and be involved.
  • Powerful meetings tool, that has a lot of functionality, but is still easy to use.
  • Events is a leading tool for webinars and presentations.
  • Easy to scale cloud service that provides some unique solutions to unify existing videoconferencing investments.
  • Events could use some flexibility in the layout of the chat/polls/participants/Q&A sections.
  • Making the notification of what content you are sharing easier to see.
Powerful tool that is easy to use and simple to scale. The cloud based nature of the main service means that it can be deployed quickly and needs minimal training to use.

  • Good sound quality
  • Facebook Live integration
  • Video quality seems to be lacking at times. We would see grain in the video, and the audio sync would be off. Took away from the experience.
  • Would like to see the price for the Facebook Live compatible version brought down under $30 a month.
Great for client meetings and conference calls. Video quality makes using the recorded meetings less wonderful for rebroadcasting on Facebook Live etc.
