CaptivateIQ is being used for our commissions automation. It has helped speed up our process and understand exactly how healthy our plans are. The main problem we were trying to solve was to find a software where reps could clearly see how they were being compensated along with a way to audit approvals. CaptivateIQ has helped us accomplish those problems.
  • Customisable plans
  • Piece of mind that payouts are correct
  • Automaton and scalability for adding sales reps
  • Reporting of plans to understand better how well teams are being paid vs performance.
  • User management could be improved to assign them to a plan
  • Sand box capability
  • A way to create a calculator based off plan details
This is best suited for a company looking for automation and scalable comp programs. Excel and email approvals work great for small sales teams. CaptivateIQ is great for anyone that is looking to automate and understand how their commissions are motivating reps to be their best. It's a place you can house everything comp related and allow piece of mind that the correct people are being paid and it gives a clean audit trail.
  • Custom plans
  • Custom reports
  • Approval process that is easy to follow
  • Docusign integration that allows users to view their comp agreements

  • Better insight to comp to budget health
  • Avoiding payout mistakes
  • Quick turnaround to allow reps to see their payouts quicker and knowing they are correct
When we were choosing a commission software we looked at a few different options and we landed on CIQ for a few different reasons. 1) was the custom plan creation that was similar to excel. Second was that they were able to give is a reporting that helped with ASC606. Third was price and the future roll out of new features like docusign integrations and reporting/dashboards. The competition had some of the features but none were as complete as CIQ.

Mostly sales reps and their managers
2
It is our payroll analyst and myself a revenue ops analyst that maintain and support everyone else in the company
  • Comp staments
  • Comp agreements
  • Reporting
  • Better understanding of comp health
  • Inquiry management allows us to see what the most common errors or misses are
  • We have found it to be helpful in understanding better what makes our reps tick.
  • More understanding of plans
It fits our need and allows a lot of piece of mind. It has a lot of features we like and they keep innovativing and adding to it.
Yes
Sort of we were using excel and email to do what CIQ does. It has been the best decision to move to a real system that tracks everything and keeps it in a secure place
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
The price is obviously a big deal but really the biggest reason was for piece of mind and automation
I wouldn't change much I think we nailed it as far as knowing what we needed and that it was going to solve those problems. We looked at others and honestly the for the price it doesn't get much better than what they have to offer.
Super fast responses and very knowledgeable
We didn't, I also don't believe that was offered.
Yes
It was resolved same day. Most of the issues were fixed in less than an hour.
In the beginning right after we implemented the product we were dumping a ton of data into the system to the point where I got a weird error. Not sure what I did to break it but it was something on the back end that I couldn't fix. The team at CIQ noticed the error before I even submitted a ticket. It wasn't long after they fixed the bug and I was able to continue uploading data
It's a simple product to use if you are familiar with data management. And even if you aren't super data driven they have a ton of articles and meeting to help you learn everything you need to be successful
  • Statement design
  • Plan management
  • Approval process
  • Report creation
  • Salesforce SOQL integration
  • Joining data within the plan
Yes
Sort of has a mobile interface, I login on my phone through the browser all the time to review inquiries but that is about it. I wouldn't suggest trying to write a plan on the phone.
They were easy to talk to and not super pushy. They allowed us to take our time and make a decision based off what we needed for our company. They also educated us quite a bit of how their system worked and very transparent about what they could and could not solve for.
They tool the time to make sure we were ser up correctly and that we understood how the system worked. They continued to check in on us and answer any questions we have had. They even have a reoccurring meeting with us once a month to go over new products and to allow us to ask any questions about them.
Like most companies they charge on a user base. So the price per user was negotiable and even the implementation cost they were flexible on. I think this is mostly because of the number of reps we were signing on with.
It helps to know what products you think you will use also having an understanding of what your end goal with the product is. They can solve for a lot but they are still learning. They are honest in the sense that they will tell you if they can meet your demands or not
