DISCO for legal work.
We chose DISCO after having experience with it on another large case. We realized that, compared to other platforms, it was the most intuitive for handling large volumes of data. Personally, I think the UI of DISCO is more accessible and nicer to use than competitors.

DISCO Ediscovery is the best!
DISCO Ediscovery was selected for a nationwide MDL. Although I did not have any part in the choice, I can see easily why it was chosen, especially when the case had almost a hundred attorneys and support staff reviewing documents.

DISCO Ediscovery was the most user-friendly, comprehensive, and cost-effective service we found. They worked with us to complete a contract within our small firm's budget and the benefits have been well worth the investment. Our firm's efficiency has improved drastically. Our ability to review and internalize relevant evidence, while filtering the irrelevant, is immeasurably improved. We can use that efficiency to prepare better, more concise pleadings more quickly than we ever could have hoped for before DISCO Ediscovery. Every feature has been beneficial and the improved features that have been rolled out since we adopted the system has only enhanced the value of DISCO Ediscovery to our practice.

Good value for mid sized firms.
We didn't have the resources in house to take on the size of the document review. We therefore used their first-line service to take a broad cut out of the documents, and then we applied a more nuanced second-line review.

Garik called. I knew the complexity of my one particular case, and they were looking at another platform of which I cannot remember the name of. We did a demo with the other company, then did a demo with Garik and found DISCO Ediscovery to be much more user-friendly than the other. In collaborating with my group and explaining what I found to be valuable, my team decided to use DISCO Ediscovery. I then told all the other paralegals within my firm about DISCO Ediscovery, and at least one requested to use the platform on her largest file as well. I’ve taken the lead here as far as training on what I’ve learned and/or “worked around,” and I share that information with everyone else.
We used managed review in the past when we had a team of reviewers. while we found it easy to set up and use. We don't typically operate in such large teams. but again, when we used it it was easy to set up and manage.

The cost was a huge driver but more than that it was the ease of use and the ability to offer to more of our clients than we would have been able to in the past due to cost and size.

Effective Ediscovery Vendor & Tool
We're a small law firm, so don't have a large support staff to handle in-house much of the ediscovery process. DISCO has enabled us to outsource portions of that, which lets our team focus on the more substantive work.

Easy to Navigate but Less Advanced Features
We didn't actively make the decision to use DISCO. The client told us they wanted to use it for this particular project. As mentioned before, I think it was faster in terms of reviewing the actual documents, but it required a lot of back and forth with the in-house team to get the right searches set up, the right coding panels, etc.

DISCO Ediscovery--the smart archive
I was not in the position to make the decision to begin using DISCO Ediscovery; however, I am happy that we began using it. Prior to using DISCO Ediscovery, it was very tedious to search through all of the documents in our archive to find the ones we were looking for because each document was so long and contained similar search terms.

Good platform
Full disclosure, did not choose it. Generally, lead counsel picks a vendor and all other counsel tags along.
The Managed Review allowed for my team to be able to prepare for depositions. We set up the custodial files of the deponents into review stages, and the reviewers flagged documents that would be useful to defending the deposition. Further, through managed review stages, the reviewers were able to gain case-specific expertise, and flag any documents that benefited the plaintiff's case in chief.

DISCO is phenomenal - spend less time at work and more time with your friends and family!
Our organization chose DISCO based on its reputation of increasing output and lowering administration costs. Because of the decreased time we spend on reviewing and searching for documents, we are able to spend more time in other areas of work. Ultimately, DISCO allows us to spend less hours at work and more time at home with our families.
