We use Hootsuite to plan all our social marketing materials across multiple platforms and accounts. It’s simplified the planning process and we no longer worry about posting at specific times or logging into multiple accounts to schedule posts. Hootsuite is both cost effective and efficient, from drafts and planning through to the final posting.

I have recommended Hootsuite to companies and small businesses. Hootsuite is excellent at creating and scheduling content but I’d like to be able to see the final preview of my Instagram account as we plan out our grid. Managing Facebook groups would also be a useful feature.

  • Saved time
  • Less effort to post across platforms
  • Enables planning in advance.
The layout seems a little old school and possibly not the simplest UX but I have been using the product for a few years and I do enjoy it.
The drag and drop would be nice and Being able to repost tagged stories and posts would be wonderful. Tagging of other brands and / or accounts does not always work as it should.
I am often on the move and being able to sit and schedule posts across multiple platforms in one go is very useful. Travelling and having to post from your phone can be tough especially when proof reading and managing autocorrect issues.
  • Later
Later was a little trickier to get started with but I enjoyed that the images are saved to a library. It seems more image / Instagram focused.
Scheduling across multiple platforms, being able to post to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and in the past Twitter is fantastic.
Most of my customer service is done via email. We have at times used Hootsuite. I would like to be notified of high importance messages via in browser notifications.
I subscribed online and did not need to interact with anyone. The process was simple.
Implementation was simple. Sometimes accounts do become disconnected and this is frustrating.

We use Hootsuite for social listening, social media management, and social media analytics. Using Hootsuite, we are able to post content to all social media channels of choice and monitor the engagement of the content, reach, and other performance metrics without having to log into each social media platform separately. I also get useful insights on share of voice and what's buzzing on social media and competitive benchmarking for better content planning
  • In-depth social media analytics across all platforms to give complete perspective
  • Competitive intel and market updates through social listening
  • Hootsuite academy is a great resource to learn more about latest trends and techniques in social media management
  • Set up process can be seamless, it is difficult to configure in self serve mode
  • Pricing is very high and can be made more affordable for smaller companies
  • Unable to tag people on images on social media and has to be done manually
Hootsuite is extreme delight in situations where there are too many social media platforms to manage and rapid and tailored content deployment across social media channels according to platform needs. It is particularly very useful for big brands and consumer brands with a large target audience. It is cumbersome to use for tagging oriented posts as this has to be done manually.

  • Hootsuite has saved a lot of time and boosted productivity in managing multiple social platforms
  • The Tool has saved us additional expenses in managing separate social use cases like listening, analytics, content reviews etc
  • Hootsuite has helped build transparency in performance across the org
  • It contributes to competitive intel org wide
Hootsuite is way better than Sprout Social as it is much easier to use and understand and the analytics capabilities and dashboards are far more intuitive and useful for social media strategy. Sprout Social use cases are not as extensive as Hootsuite, although Sprout Social is cheaper compared to Hootsuite.
We have been using social media listening-based insights to generate content ideas and engage further with our customers. This helps in keeping the brand up to date and aways fresh while also being very relevant to the audience across all social media channels. Social media automation has also been very helpful.
We have not been using support very actively but the team has been overall very supportive, easy to reach and engage.

Hootsuite team helped us in implementing the Enterprise version and also helped us in seamless onboarding. They also shared useful best practices and set up useful dashboards for our particular use cases. Overall, they have been very collaborative and approachable, however, at times the team is not prompt in responding to queries.
No we did not purchase it because this is not a very critical aspect of our business and we are able to get most of the work done by the team ourselves. The customization and support level requests are anyways limited and we dont feel the need as of yet for this service.

We have three users. All of us curate and post content for our approximately 50 social media channels. It helps each of us know what the other has posted, so we are not duplicating efforts. We can also pop into the scheduler to see what is coming up and we often use bulk uploading which is a great feature.
  • Coordinating efforts.
  • Advanced scheduling.
  • Multiple streams.
  • Sales Force integration.
  • RSS Feed integration.
  • Being able to set up multiple Tweets with the same post.
It's great for teamwork, but your competitors are adding multiple integrations which make analytics much more robust. Salesforce, Marketo, RSS feeds are all available on Oktopost and we really love their platform. Also, they have a dedicated customer service rep, which makes all the difference in the world. It's nice to establish a rapport with one person.

  • It's fantastic for branding.
  • Team integration.
  • We cannot see direct ROI because we don't have Salesforce integrated with HS.
We actually use Oktopost too. HootSuite is solid for team integration which is why we continue to use it. Frankly, it's easier to show people how to use. Oktopost takes some training, though once you get things rolling and understand the back end, it's fantastic. I foresee keeping Hootsuite for the foreseeable future.
I have only had to reach out a few times and they were timely and helpful.
Hootsuite allows us to save time by publishing on multiple channels at once and we can therefore publish more content, BUT when you use third party apps of any kind for social posting, the platform gives you less organic reach.
The help center is easy to access and use. Rarely use customer support because the help center has pretty much everything you could need.
3
We all work on different aspects of social media posting and tracking. We have enough channels and need to have more than one person engaging with our audience. We all track different accounts, but Hootsuite Pro allows us to not have to IM each other to get things done. Love that.
