LinkedIn Jobs is a versatile platform widely used across organizations for various recruiting purposes. Real estate companies, for example, utilize it to find the most suitable candidates and gain insights into their backgrounds. The Marketing sector within such companies relies on LinkedIn Jobs to identify the desired qualities and benefits of potential employees, streamlining the lead sourcing process and making it more efficient. By allowing job postings from different locations and with varying qualities, LinkedIn Jobs expands the candidate pool, enabling a diversified recruitment strategy.

One noteworthy feature of LinkedIn Jobs is its ability to advertise both in-house roles and responsibilities as well as positions for clients, ensuring a smooth and effective recruitment process. It also serves as a valuable tool for reaching potential candidates who may not be reached through the company's own job site. The platform is used throughout organizations to post new roles and open positions, attracting the right candidates by offering a well-detailed, organized, and user-friendly selection process. Moreover, LinkedIn Jobs aids in finding qualified candidates by narrowing down searches based on specific demographics. Its emphasis on targeted key candidates for various positions, such as Project Directors requiring fundraising, sales, or marketing experience, contributes to its effectiveness in sourcing candidates with specialized skills and knowledge.

LinkedIn Jobs offers several advantages that users appreciate. It facilitates communication and follow-up with recruiters or managers through easy connections within the platform. Users also find value in revising profiles for potential employers to review qualifications based on submitted applications. Additionally, multiple departments and teams across organizations rely on LinkedIn Jobs to post new jobs and reach out to professionals. The software provides a quick turnaround of candidate applications from diverse locations, eliminating the need for manual candidate search and reducing advertising costs.

Beyond its primary use as a recruiting tool, LinkedIn Jobs opens doors for networking and business expansion opportunities by connecting users with individuals they may not have access to otherwise. The platform's superior search options and candidate quality make it preferred over other applications available in the market. Often described as the 'Who's Who' of job searches, LinkedIn Jobs offers a valuable user experience that allows individuals to understand the role of job opportunities and showcase their professional profiles effectively. The InMail feature and connections on LinkedIn Jobs provide users with the ability to reach out to others within a company, increasing their chances of getting their resumes in front of the right people.

Organizations find LinkedIn Jobs particularly useful when filling specialty positions and advertising hard-to-fill jobs and events. Its capability to efficiently attract candidates who are actively seeking a position speeds up the hiring process. Recruitment teams utilize LinkedIn Jobs to advertise roles across the entire business, providing a clear and simple way for job seekers to see what's on offer. One example of its effectiveness is seen in a small staffing agency that uses LinkedIn Jobs to advertise professional-level jobs to a professional audience, resulting in increased traffic to their LinkedIn Company Page.

While the algorithm for filtering resumes may not be perfect, LinkedIn Jobs remains a valuable tool for recruiting departments to post jobs, source candidates, and search for specific job criteria. Users appreciate how it streamlines the job search process by integrating with LinkedIn and offering a wide reach to potential candidates through direct or indirect references. The platform's filter method makes it easy to find candidates from specific locations, making it particularly useful for HR management and companies seeking new jobs and employees.

LinkedIn Jobs not only serves as a recruitment tool but also as a platform for promoting companies and showcasing their unique features to attract applicants. Its status as the most professional recruiting website online has made it widely used across organizations. Users find value in the platform even if direct hires have not yet been made, as it provides access to good resumes and opportunities to contact candidates for interviews. Overall, LinkedIn Jobs offers an invaluable resource for organizations of all sizes and industries, connecting them with qualified candidates while providing an efficient and user-friendly experience.

Streamlined hiring process: Users appreciate the ability to screen candidates and assess their qualifications directly within LinkedIn Jobs, saving time and streamlining the hiring process. Many reviewers have mentioned that this feature has been a significant time-saver for them.

User-friendly interface: The user-friendly interface and organized layout of LinkedIn Jobs make it easy for users to navigate and manage job applications effectively. Several reviewers have mentioned how this integration has improved their workflow efficiency.

Cons: Limited customization options: Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the limited customization options on the platform, particularly when it comes to providing background information about the working environment and specifying demographics. Inaccurate location filter: Several users have encountered issues with the location filter on LinkedIn Jobs, finding it to be inaccurate and sometimes missing common cities. This can make it difficult for users to find jobs in their desired locations. Cluttered user interface: Many users feel that the user interface for managing jobs on LinkedIn Jobs is cluttered and in need of improvement. They find it confusing to differentiate between read submissions and contacted candidates, and also desire a way to track the status of their applications more easily.

I use it to help find the best candidates and to hear the back stories of those in transition.
  • It shows the human side of recruiting and allows the recruiter to stay in touch with the candidate rather than leave them hanging.
  • It allows for the candidate to really tell their story through referrals.
  • It allows you to see where you rank and cuts through a lot of red tape.
  • It can be better in allowing the team you will work with [to] give more of a background to the environment you are heading into.
  • A better setup for employers to give a timetable of when they will do interviews.
  • More referral possibilities and use of recommendations.
It is well suited in putting in what you are looking for, and also in expanding the board of quality candidates. It could be better in reaching out [and] describing the environment where you will be working [as well as] offering those beyond L.I.O.N. to be able to contact about said company.
  • Better candidates.
  • More quality candidates.
  • Knowing your employer better.
  • It has slowed with the price point being kind of of high versus other posting places.
LinkedIn is the new standard and the rest are still trying to catch up.
It allows for you to paint out in detail what you are looking for and if that person will be a fit.
They understand the process and will not just do it and take your money. It can be done immediately without waiting. The questions can be answered quickly through Twitter with ease and leads to a personal relation before the ad is placed. It is not a chore, but a joy to do.

It is more of understanding the product [in order] to relate to those in career transition [and] to advise them how to get their story across and be hired. It is a tool that gets you either hired or rejected and understanding what it does is key. Success is important and understanding how it works.
None at this point, but [I] use it to understand what future employees need to put into action to be hired.
  • Candidate profile.
  • Fitting into the environment.
  • Relating to those applying.
  • Eliminating candidates. If you are not in there, you are locked out.
  • Giving others a second look than what was expected.
  • Knowing the candidate on a personal level better.
  • Connecting to other businesses.
  • Marketing Capital.
  • Proving stats that show the bottom line use of the product as a whole.
Asking price really versus quality. Not a bad thing, but budget can be a problem.

I am an end-user of LinkedIn jobs and reporting on user experience to help manage expectations of companies that use this product to post jobs. LinkedIn is delivering job recommendations stating a location that is incorrect, causing job applications that don't match candidate expectations nor company job descriptions.

Scenario - My job search settings are set for remote. I have many years in SaaS where my past 20 years of software jobs list my location as "remote to (city name)" or my current city (Eugene). My job alert is set for customer success management-Remote.

Job recommendations are set for "on" however, results show jobs in small towns, and the company websites do not show jobs in those cities.

I conclude that LinkedIn Jobs is pushing jobs to me that show incorrect locations. This causes increased job applications for jobs that are not available. It is already time-consuming to tailor resumes and cover letters for each job application, find LinkedIn connections to boost resume visibility. And to realize that the job in, for example, Coquille, OR, doesn't exist. I have searched the many support articles in their knowledge base around this issue, only to see support reps quickly close the thread with a misunderstood and irrelevant answer, always pointing to user error.

Here's an example position: Customer Success Consultant (Premier Accounts) at HubSpot in Coquille, OR, Posted 1 week ago, with 79 applicants. This is a terrible user experience, a waste of time, and delivers job applicants that don't match the job requirements for location. Very disappointing of LinkedIn. If I were considering using LinkedIn for hiring, I'd make sure they correct this flaw so you're not inundated with job candidates seeking jobs in different locations.
  • LinkedIn shows my how many applicants have used their platform to apply
  • I can see how my skills and experience match the job description
  • The jobs are with reputable companies
  • I can see and make connections to strengthen my hiring chances
  • Misinformed job location, pulling from some algorithm that is flawed
  • Match job listing more closely to company's listing regarding location - be accurate
  • Verify job location with company
Well suited for recommending jobs that the candidate needs to further validate. Job seekers cannot trust the location of recommended jobs.
  • I am an end user so cannot say the ROI
  • I have not been hired through LinkedIn jobs yet
  • I would think wading through mismatched resumes/job applications would cost a company and negatively impact their bottom line
There are many complaints that there is no way to contact their support. There is no phone number, nor chat and people aren't receiving responses on social media. I have used "Feedback" to report on the job description page the flaw in incorrect locations.
Because of the misinformation on job location, I give a low rating and this is the reason for my entire review.
