  • It allows us to target specifically the companies and job titles that we want, we love that it's the most specific platform to find who you want to target.
  • The integration with Hubspot is great. Without it, we would have to do a lot of manual work to get campaign results.
  • Matched lists: we have an ABM strategy at the moment, so being able to upload lists with the specific companies that we want to see our ads is great because we don't waste money /impressions on irrelevant companies.
  • Retargeting: very important for us to retarget those that have been in contact with our content in the past, doesn't matter if it was outside of LinkedIn.

  • A close eye has to be kept on your cost per conversion to ensure positive ROI - it can get pretty high vs other platforms.
  • Sales teams like leads from LinkedIn Ads - they are hyper targeted and have a higher conversion to sale vs other platform.
  • Lead volume can be difficult to scale, however, there will be less low-quality leads vs other platforms

  • LinkedIn Marketing Solutions has significantly helped our agency to generate leads for our clients, which in turn incentivizes them to spend more on our marketing services.
  • Ironically, though, we have not had as much success doing our own LinkedIn advertising for our agency. Clicks have been a little too expensive to get scale from our own marketing budget.

  • Hard to see ROI on short-length campaigns but that is understandable since B2B sales/buyer journey is longer.

  • I think there is a lot of "ad blindness" on the platform, so ROI for text ads was very low.
  • There is a very significant cost in time and resources to develop solid content for sponsored content blocks. That needs to be factored in with the advertising cost, which again lowered ROI for us.

  • As an agency, LinkedIn gives us one more way to demonstrate worth: we're managing the LinkedIn page of many of our clients, and this is demonstratively an improvement from before.
  • Also as an agency, LinkedIn ads allow us to offer an additional way to get leads in the door. When we've struck out on other ad programs, we usually try LinkedIn Ads before moving on to a higher investment channel (such as list rental).

  • Unfortunately, Linkedin Marketing Solutions doesn't really give a clear look at exact ROI in terms of monetary profit (we were able to see clicks and impressions). Because of this, we weren't able to use it to achieve our overall business objectives.

  • LinkedIn marketing solutions has opened the door to further social media related engagements with clients as long as we see moderate success with our efforts using the platform. So using it has brought in more business. Businesses know they need to market on LinkedIn, so it's a good first step.
  • Whether this is the fault of the platform or what the client is providing for the campaign, the line gets a little blurry. But for anything other than awareness, the results haven't been as good as we've hoped and rarely do clients want to do another campaign with LinkedIn, unless it's trying a different type of ad unit or targeting.
