What is Lucidspark?

Lucidspark is a virtual whiteboard where teams can bring their best ideas to light. Users can collaborate in real-time, no matter where they are. Lucidspark helps people organize notes and scribbles and turn them into presentation-ready concepts. When it’s time for next steps, teams can develop workflows and process documents to turn ideas into reality. Features include integrations, infinite canvas, sticky notes, freehand drawing, chat, templates, timer, voting, Breakout Boards, and more.

With Lucidspark, users can not only brainstorm ideas as a team but then refine and organize those ideas to drive action. Features like assisted grouping and Lucidchart import/export help users turn ideas into plans and strategies.

Lucidspark is part of the Lucid suite, a visual collaboration suite that helps teams see and build the future from idea to reality. Users can start ideating in Lucidspark and then seamlessly move to Lucidchart and Lucidscale to complete the full project lifecycle and make their ideas a reality.

Lucidspark helps cross-functional teams at organizations of all sizes accomplish more effective brainstorming, collaboration, Agile and project planning, customer experience research, strategic and analysis.

  • Enables Collaboration
  • Easy to use for anyone!
  • Useful integrations that are seemingly....... seamless
  • External integrations like an Azure devops widget for dashboards.
  • I would like a two way integration with Lucid chart
  • I would LOVE if I could get some of the theming functionality to be able to do domain driven design

  • Collaborate in real time
  • Tool for visible learning (in the online e-learning space)
  • Great way to brainstorm and present information
  • Should redesign UI/UX that is more kid friendly and more intuitive for younger children
  • Allow for better integration to other cloud services

  • Provides a more free-flowing design than mind mapping software
  • Allows for long-form text to illustrate points in the diagram
  • Allows for sharing of diagrams through a shared link
  • Offers templates and examples for great-looking diagrams
  • Allows for different kinds of informational structures (timelines, progressions, lists, etc)
  • Some of the features (such as grouping objects) are not as intuitive as they could be
  • There should be pricing options for individual usage with sharing but not collaboration
  • Lucid seems focused on the business market. It would be great to have something tailored toward education

  • Sorting of category wise ideations.
  • Colour coding notes and information.
  • User friendly collaboration with teammates across boards.
  • Dots in background are large enough to distract the user while zooming on boards.
  • File size limit can be extended for free version for the user to test it to understand its potential.
  • Lack of user friendly desktop application.

  • It mocks iPhone and Android applications
  • Make interactive mock-ups and prototypes.
  • For wire framing websites, there are shape libraries available.
  • It's fantastic for me.
  • Everything is in perfect functioning order.
  • For lucid chart, there should be a desktop app.

  • Quick and easy to convey ideas
  • Foster Collaboration
  • Create a live account map
  • Unauthorized/Anon users not so easy to jump in
  • Integration with SalesNav/SFDC could be better
  • More templatization / standard icons

  • Google Suite (GSuite) integration
  • Strong integration with JIRA
  • Strong collaboration tools with comments/emoji capabilities
  • CSV export of Lucidspark board cannot be imported into another board.
  • I cannot import contents from Miro (or other tools) to import my whiteboards from other tools into Lucidspark.
  • JIRA integration was clunky and I accidentally created 16 cards in JIRA without realizing it. All selected items in a flow chart became separate JIRA stories, which was surprising.

  • Allowing the team to work together at the same time
  • Being able to export the final product in a visually pleasing way
  • Some of the functionality I asked about was actually implemented. It was just hard to find.

  • Organization - We use the features to create charts of the processes we use.
  • Collaboration - Everyone is able to see what others are working on and thinking about.
  • Brainstorming - We are able to critically think about and share new concepts easily.
  • Arrows and lines between items can be hard to manage at times.

  • Brainstorming Ideas.
  • Easy to use.
  • Best way to communicate visually.
  • Sometimes I wish it would have more of the templates from Lucidchart. I love the quicky stickie function and use it all the time. It is a little cumbersome if you would like to keep a board (and breakout boards) that illustrate a day's worth of ideas.

  • Collaboration with remote teams
  • Pre-made templates for a lot of activities
  • Simple interface that is easy to understand
  • Organization of shared documents into folders rather than [showing them] in one place. With several teams sharing documents sorting thru them could be made better.

  • Template for various collaboration needs (i.e., planning, brainstorming, flow charts)
  • Wireframe shapes and tools are easy to access
  • Interactive post-it features like tagging, emojis, comments and hyperlinks
  • Some of the features are not super intuitive
  • Wish there was a simple view option to not confuse clients who are new to the program
  • Wish there was a way to swap between the pan and hand options via my mouse buttons
