Miro is the virtual collaboration tool of choice for my organization. In various aspects of the business, from sales to finance to operations, we use Miro to visualize processes so we can better understand various aspects of it from different points of view. The ease of use of the platform and different features of it enable people from many backgrounds to participate and contribute so others can understand their work. For example, we've mapped out the process by which we collect and analyze data for processing of rebates, as well as approvals in order to build a standard operating procedure for it and improve upon it for future use. We've also used the tool to outline the process by which we demo equipment to customers and return it, or even how we assign cases in Salesforce to different teams for resolution. Some of the use cases are regional, while others are global issues that help us to solve problems which in the long run, save hundreds of thousands of dollars for the business.

Visualizing a process with a team that works remotely! It's absolutely fantastic for this and enables people to see the process from different perspectives so we can improve. For storing files and creating an "information repository" however, it's not so great. I usually just link to a SharePoint to get that done.

It was a task to implement Miro in my organization, however with the help of the Miro staff, the process was much easier. We had support when we needed it, and ongoing collaboration enabled us to spread the tools use to all parts of our organization, and give our organization the resources necessary to thrive using the tool
Similar to my last response, integrating it has been easy thanks largely to the Miro staff who've assisted us. Without them, I don't think we would have been able to integrate it into as many products. There is still some work to be done with for example other complicated platforms like SalesForce or our ERP, but we're off to a fantastic start.
It's been fantastic in this regard. Especially for me, having come from a manufacturing operations background where I was always onsite to work with others, I've been amazed with how easily I've gone to remote work, due in part to the use of Miro. I feel like I'm right there with my team as we collaborate on projects, even though we're located thousands of miles apart. With different time zones, we can contribute on our own time and hold each other accountable for completion of tasks. It even helps with Comradery because we can insert funny memes or links in there :)
Miro is by far the best for visualization of processes. Nothing is quite like it, however for storing information and important files, I've tried to do this but it just doesn't work out as well as having clearly labeled and/or colored folders in SharePoint for example. Some folks prefer PowerPoint for mapping something out, and I've tried it before, but the functionality just isn't as intuitive as Miro, and it's much more difficult to modify anything there.

There is no other tool like Miro for process Mapping in particular. I've tried PowerPoint, Word, and other programs, but when collaborating virtually on how to improve a process, Miro has all of the tools and more to enable successful mapping. The colors, different types of shapes and text books, along with the ability to integrate different documents and other functionality, make it ideal for this purpose. In a virtual world, it's a must-have.

Ease of Use: Everyone in our organization can use this tool, and the extra training sessions provided by Miro on functionality and different features help tremendously as well. There was even an ongoing webinar series with Miro Experts where they would introduce new features, and all were well received by our organization. This also enables everyone's voice to be heard and all valuable input to be considered when making a decision.
I wasn't that involved in the evaluation and selection process since I'm only a key user, however, I would like to think that we could demo and deploy Miro in our organization before making a more full, long-term commitment. I would have also taken this strategy with other virtual collaboration tools so that we could gather feedback from the organization on a variety of tools.

Change management was minimal
On a high level, change management may have been a big issue, however for my team and smaller part of the organization, change management was minimal. We never really used a tool quite like Miro, so it was more of an enhancement than anything. We were already well-versed in remote ways of working and some other similar, but not competitive tools. Implementing Miro made things easier and allows us to collaborate more efficiently.
  • Finding out where to stop using Miro and start using another tool
Almost every function uses Miro in my organization. To make a list: Research and Development, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Scientific and Laboratory Services, Field Service/Applications. If I missed any common business function, I'm sure they use it too! There really isn't a function where it wouldn't be useful.
I am unsure of how many people we have in-house to support Miro ongoing. I do know that Miro is great with support and if I have issues, they are a simple communication away with their knowledgeable support staff. To support Miro, it helps to be familiar with virtual collaboration tools, and just have general computer skills. You also need to be responsive and know how to ask questions to understand a users' process and solve their biggest issues.

There was a series of webinars which Miro hosted with our organization that went over the basics, then progressively became more advanced with additional sections. The instructors were knowledgeable, and provided examples throughout the sessions, as well as answered peoples' questions. There was ample time and experience on the calls to cover a range of topics. The instructors were also very friendly and sociable, as well as honest. Of course Miro isn't a "God-tool" that does absolutely everything, but the instructors were aware and emphasized the strengths where Miro had them and sincerely accepted feedback.
It's just right, there's enough leeway to be able to do what you need to do and configure the program to your needs.
For me, I love the use of templates to configure your Miro Experience. Start with a blank workbook and work from there to set things up the way you need them, and input different frames and other integrated files, shapes, colors, etc. If you have a different template for different scenarios such as process mapping or training, or something else, it really helps.

The support staff at Miro are fantastic. Whenever I have had an issue, they have been timely and helpful with their response. They are also very knowledgeable and go out of their way to not only help, but offer proactive training sessions on different topics and new functionality so everyone can try it out.

While trying to find a template for a training I was going to hold, I couldn't find anything, however I contacted support and they saved the day by showing me how to find templates for different things, and helped me to narrow my search so that I could find exactly what I was looking for in time to prepare for the training.
Everything is laid out very easily in the site. The sticky notes are obvious, as well as text boxes and other features due to the shapes of the icons, and descriptions when you hover over the boxes or that are stated right there in the title for the feature. I have introduced Miro to newcomers on my team and they pick it up in a matter of hours.

Yes, but I don't use it
Miro is great for scaling. In every department and subdivision across my entire organization, there is someone using it. From Sales to marketing, to manufacturing and operations; and even in legal and finance, there isn't a process or a department that is not using Miro, and if they aren't, they're missing out! Even at the highest to the lowest levels of the organization, it is essential for virtual collaboration.
I only give a 9/10 because of the speed at which it loads. I have never experienced issues with Miro logging me out early, or some other technical issue causing the program to crash, or even it just loading in perpetuity without ever actually coming up (unlike other programs such as SFDC). It take a minute for all of my boards to come up after I click on it in my favorites, but besides that, it's all good.
I took the loading quickly to be related to availability which I commented on before, so ditto with those comment on load time here. Although to reemphasize, Miro doesn't crash or just refuse to load like some other programs. The weak point of Miro for me is integration of files like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint (especially the later two). When you embed these, it gets slow, and complicated to bring them up while you're in the application.

I didn't do too much direct interaction with Miro during the sales process since we already had Miro at the time I started using it, however Miro seemed very willing and able to support users and the organization as a whole as we started to implement Miro in our everyday work lives.
As said before, Miro worked with us to implement the tool in our daily work lives, and provided a webinar series going over everything from the basics to more advanced functionality. Now that it's embedded in our virtual workspace, I couldn't imagine working without Miro, and if I ever have any questions, I'm confident that they can be answered in a timely manner.

Miro is used mainly for collaboration, planning solutions, analysis, and team contributions mainly since teams are remote. I use various diagrams and templates to achieve an outcome for a session. it could be product roadmap, product planning, or solution discussion.

Superb. very well explained videos. Really helps get the knowledge up on the product. The slides are divided into the topics of usage. I have enjoyed following and implementing all of these slides. The videos are well explained and it is easy to follow. There are tutorials that you can take yourself later. It would be nice however if more training modules were added.
Yes it was very easy to learn. I first started using this product without any training. it is very intuitive and you can do a lot with this product.
I took the online training much later and it really helped with more knowledge on this product. I will be continuing with the tutorials to help use this tool to the max.
