Social Studio was the result of Salesforce' combining of Radian6 with the capabilities of Buddy Media, a social media publishing tool acquired by Salesforce in 2012.   • The one-stop-shop aspect enables us to combine multiple tool functionality into one subscription
  • Integration with Salesforce is a key selling point meaning we can coordinate all activity with a constant reference to CRM data
  • It is a little light on functionality in some areas (analyse as the prime example) so you may find you'll need to spend on an alternative / supplementary platform to fulfil the use-case requirements here

  • Monitoring social brand awareness is not something you can consider to have a meaninful impact in your business ROI short term, however it's a must for taking care of long term relationships and customer intimacy.
  • Radian6 connects with other analytical tools like Webtrends, Google Analytics, etc..however it's not directly linked to a revenue driven platform, you can´t see the immediate ROI generated in the tool.
  • If you bet for social relationships you should consider this tool, no question on that. Social Commerce might be of course impacted postively by the proper use of this tool.

  • We were able to benchmark high-level metrics (i.e. Share of Voice) against our competitors YoY.
  • While it was difficult and time-consuming, I was able to create reports using the data pulled in from Social Studio.
  • There were other tools for comparable prices that had more advanced analytics that would have saved time/money had we been using them (crimson hexagon).

  • I would actually say that Radian6 decreased our efficiency as a team because it took so much time and effort to train people on how to use it.
  • Radian6 helped us understand the overall sentiment of our brand. This gave us great insight and helped us structure our online customer service strategy.
