Although the products are very similar, I've just found Sprout Social more intuitive to use. The dashboards they provide and how they've streamlined processes within the platform, prove for a very positive user experience for us. In my opinion, everything is simply laid out, easy to find and easy to interact with. I think Hootsuite is very competively priced, but I think Sprout Social has effortlessly allowed us to manage a huge amount of accounts and users, whereas Hootsuite is more suited to smaller organisations.

Sprinklr is easier to use, deploy and understand for first-time users. It has the right amount of options without becoming difficult to use. In a few hours a new team could be scheduling content and creating some performance reports in an easy way.

Sprout Social is probably my top pick of the lot, mainly due to its simple navigation and content calendar. While some of the other platforms have more robust functionality and integrations, I've found I'm more comfortable using Sprout Social and would prefer a seamless user interface over every feature under the sun.

I haven't used Hootsuite in years. But we switched over because Hootsuite would allow you to schedule content in advance but you would still have to publish within an app on your phone. Sprout Social published on its own once schedule in the software. Sprout Social also offered more integrations with various social platforms and more robust analytics tools.

For the money, I have not found Sprout's equal. Admittedly no service is perfect, which is why your tech stack is in fact a stack. For the time it saves, the reports it generates, and the tabs it allows me to keep on an inordinately large competitive landscape, Sprout is and will continue to be my go-to for the foreseeable future.

We have used Hootsuite in the past and we prefer Sprout Social because it's easier to use, more intuitive and visually appealing, provides more robust analytics, and is better organized so we can find things more easily.

We needed something more thorough than the free products we had tested (Hootsuite and TweetDeck), but the more robust products (Falcon) were out of our budget. Sprout hit the sweet spot of having everything we needed at the time for the right price.

I found HeyOrca difficult to use and much more glitchy. We were constantly having issues with posts failing to upload, and sometimes you would schedule an entire week of content only for it to disappear once saved. For that reason we switched to Sprout Social and it is overall a more powerful and reliable platform. Plus, their customer service is extremely responsive which I appreciate.

Our organization previously used Spredfast (now Khoros), which was useful but limited in functionality. A few years ago we transitioned to Sprout Social, which at the time appeared to be a more dynamic product and an overall better fit for our organization. I can't speak to the current functionality of Spredfast, but the transition to Sprout Social was a positive one.

I used Sprinklr when I was with a previous employer. While the tool is extremely robust in its community management, publishing, reporting and social listening capabilities, the price tag is cumbersome for smaller businesses and agencies. Sprout offers similar capabilities at a reasonable price. If you do need heavy automation, highly customizable reporting and cost is no barrier, Sprinklr still may be worth exploring, but Sprout should be able to deliver.

I've also used Spredfast, which is now Khors, a few years ago and I was not impressed with the tool at all. It lagged in automation, the tool frequently glitched, its slow speed made work extremely difficult and they were misleading when it came to current capabilities vs future capabilities. They may have improved since then, but I would recommend Sprout hands down. Also, Spredfast had a slightly lower price tag than Sprinklr, but the cost savings was not significant. Sprout would come in below what they are probably still requesting today.

  • Buffer
I used Buffer previous to Sprout Social for two years. It was a good solution as we were getting a handle on scheduling content. It was the first real tool we had for this. But we outgrew it and they began removing features that were critical to our workflow, such as the RSS Feed. While their 50% off policy for non-profits was very helpful, once we started adding up the cost to use features like Replies and Analytics, we discovered that our needs were simply too robust for Buffer to handle. Sprout Social was the solution suggested by all our peers and we've been very happy with it ever since.

I have not personally used anything other than Sprout Social. Before it was doable to manually manage each social account. We then grew significantly and needed an all-in-one solution. Sprout Social perfectly fit our needs then and still does six years later. No complaints on my end. Staff are happy too.

I've used Hootsuite, which does not offer half as much functionality as Sprout Social, however it was more cost effective for my company's primary social channels and provided the base functionality I needed for automatically posting Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest content.

I also have used Soci, which is what my company used for managing the MANY local-level Facebook accounts that we had people running. It did not offer as much functionality and reporting as Sprout Social, but it was far more affordable because they charged based on how many pages were connected rather than how many active users were in the platform and it worked for our social scheduling and corporate post-approval needs.

Sprout Social is easy to set up and use. It didn't take much time to get all of our marketing clients set up in the system, and it's an affordable social media management platform. Sprout allows us to manage multiple social media platforms for our clients and schedule their posts for them.

The thing that stands out to me the most about Sprout is that every employee I've engaged with has a passion for social and helping companies succeed. They live and breathe social, and are a huge support to social media teams.

Sprout has superior analytics to all of the above platforms I have tested out as well.

We did not consider any other social media management platforms. Sprout Social had everything we were looking for and more at a reasonable price point. We would recommend it to any size company that is data driven and intent on listening to their audiences online. Sprout Social is the best out there!

I've found that Sprout Social has more capabilities than other social platforms, and goes above and beyond in its functionality and support. I also think that Sprout Social has one of the cleanest, easy to use interfaces of all the social platforms. Hootsuite and TweetDeck, for example, can be overwhelming; but Sprout Social clean design has made it more intuitive and less overwhelming.

Sprout Social has a more intuitive interface with a wider array of functions. What sets it apart the most is its analytics, graphs, and reporting. Sprout Social presents data in a way that can be shown to clients and easily digested. By showing what works and what doesn’t, Sprout Social puts its users in the best position to succeed on social media.
