We use ZipRecruiter to post our active job listings. Our sourcing/recruiting department uses it. It gives us the opportunity to share our job openings, and attract talent within an hour (or less)! ZipRecruiter has been a source for us over the past several years. However, we are seeing an increase in quality over quantity, which is definitely a step in the right direction. We have successfully found candidates that have amazing experience and are actively searching. I really like the features that allow us to see who is actively on the job market so we can contact active job seekers right away.
  • Job postings.
  • Sourcing resumes.
  • Screening candidates.
  • Better screening tools for candidates who apply to open jobs.
  • Auto-screeners that can be conducted via recorded phone call.
  • Option for candidates to identify when they are open to relocating.
  • Messaging features- would be nice to have a template included in direct messaging.
It should be a part of your job board portfolio! Once an option, now would recommend as a key piece.

ZipRecruiter is well suited for businesses of any size, who post jobs with entry-level and/or general skillsets. This would include an administrative assistant, customer service professional, or data entry associate. For roles like these, you can expect at least 50 applications, with the opportunity to collect resumes from all backgrounds. ZipRecruiter is not the best suited for highly specialized roles. We find that other job boards have a more robust pipeline of candidates, who, with specialized skillsets, tend to post their resumes. This may include a specialized Marketing professional, IT developer, etc.

  • We have hired some fantastic candidates through ZipRecruiter. Our ROI, in that case, was a quality hire for our clients.
  • We have spent (in the past, especially) a lot of time sorting through resumes of candidates that were unqualified. The negative impact here was the loss of time sorting and responding to unqualified applicants.
  • We use their sourcing tool frequently to search for candidates with specific keywords. Over the years the search parameters have expanded, and it has allowed us to hone on in specific skills a bit easier.
The great thing about ZipRecruiter is that you have access to all of the archived roles and can see candidate activity per each job posting. What has helped with this feature, is that we are able to search for candidates, see their history and often times consider other candidates for other job postings that we later post. This is fluid when we use ZipRecruiter as a main source for our job roles. It has impacted us positively.
We have use the Proactive Outreach when we post the next jobs, and it helps us to identify job seekers that may be a fit for the role. This allows us to save some time to get connected to quality talent that we may not have known about otherwise. We have also relied on ZipRecruiter's job description templates to get started with roles that we have to post that we don't have templates for.
We think that ZipRecruiter should be a part of the job board portfolio. To be clear not all roles are best for ZipRecruiter, and so we monitor closely how long we have each position posted for, the number of applicants, and the quality of applicants. However, we rely on other job boards for consistency in sourcing for all roles. That being said, ZipRecruiter's quality has improved and we will continue o use it as an option.

We had used ZipRecruiter in the past, and it has grown progressively over the years to support our ongoing staffing needs.
We would not change anything.
We have had to reach out to ZipRecruiter's support on many occasions. At one time, we were over-billed for one of their subscriptions. Not only did the billing get adjusted quickly, but we also got a chance to test out one of their perks for free. The account executives are helpful and friendly.
No. We are fairly comfortable with what we use ZipREcruiter for and have not had many tech issues.
We were interested in expanding our job posting slots, and got connected to a very knowledge sales rep who walked us through what made sense for our business size and current needs at the time. It was very helpful to identify so that we knew how to scale correctly when we were ready.
Easy to use, great UI

I loaded a European Automotive Technician Professional job onto Zip Recruiter and the results of the applicants were line cooks from McDonald's, Painters, Chicken House Workers, etc. ZERO applicants with European automotive experience - or regular automotive experience. I immediately within 24 hours contacted Zip Recruiter who told me to duplicate my ad in other cities, which I did. A month later I had 3 applicants who had the experiences listed above and a bill from ZipRecruiter for $780. Absurd! Never will I ever recommend this company. A gentleman called me about 2 weeks AFTER I stopped the ads and told me he thinks there is a much better way to sign up for a plan to help me. I was taken aback because, why wouldn't you call me and tell me this from the get-go instead of waiting until you bill me nearly $800? Poor service. They want money and are not interested in actually helping you find a qualified candidate. This service may work if you don't need educated and skilled staff but it's not an appropriate resource for someone looking for a specific skill set.
  • Charge you a LOT of Money and COLLECT money from you
  • Call you when you cancel your jobs to offer a way to collect more money
  • Get you candidates that have nothing to do with your listed job
  • Provide qualified candidates! That would be cool!
  • Provide feedback on best plans BEFORE you pay in big money and cancel them subsequently
  • Close their ripoff business model and save business owners the headache
This company is unable to provide qualified candidates. They sent me painters, line cooks from restaurants, excavation workers, garage door installers, shipping and receiving workers, etc. I did not receive ONE qualified candidate. NOT ONE. At the 24 hour mark, I called to advise I could look in the resumes and find candidates but their information was NOT provided to me to contact them. Instead, they have to be matched. But the Zip Recruiter system does not match qualified candidates to your jobs. I was told to add keywords but when she looked at the job she said they were all there. So she then told me to add my job to other cities, which I did then do. THEN I spoke to a gentleman who said he would have the 'boost' removed from the account - but that never happened either. This company cannot source skilled jobs. If you need professional skills - this is NOT the place to find an employee.
  • Well, I would like to find professional team members - but ZipRecruiter failed at accomplishing that
  • They are a liability and high risk on my P&L - they provide ZERO return on the investment. ZERO ZILCH ZIP and that should be their tag line. ZERO ZILCH ZIP QUALIFIED Recruits will apply!
  • They spend all that money I paid them sending out mailers to all my peer business owners making false promises and it's a joke!
Indeed was expensive BUT I got results - so that's where I'll go back. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah watch me walk away!

None of these. I was looking for an alternative option that maybe would find some technicians. Instead, I found line cooks and garage door workers and painters and dirt movers. How about we let them work on your Mercedes and see how happy you are with the results?
I would never have used Zip at all.

As the Executive Director of a rural skilled nursing campus, we faced the challenge of recruiting nurses to our community. I reached out to ZipRecruiter for assistance in solving this issue. I was assigned a recruitment specialist that understood our need and how to best approach our recruitment strategy. I was very impressed with the way ZipRecruiter maintained communication and made adjustments to our recruitment strategy during our campaign. ZipRecruiter was mindful of our budget and maximized those funds to the most impactful areas. We were able to attract a handful of nurses to our community by working with ZipRecruiter. I would utilize ZipRecruiter for future recruitment campaigns.
  • Maximizes your budget.
  • Understands your target audience.
  • I have no suggestions at this time.
ZipRecruiter was amazing with helping our rural healthcare skilled nursing home set up a strategic recruitment plan. They communicated brilliantly and were mindful of our budget. The portal is easy to use and the resources available great. We were able to see success due to the attention our ZipRecruiter specialist gave us. I would recommend this service to anyone.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Stewards of or resources.
  • Great communication.
These other recruitment companies didn’t offer the same level of involvement and resources as ZipRecruiter. The ZR portal and support services were on another level. With similar pricing ZR was by far the better investment opportunity for our organization. We did try these other options also with no positive results.
The support specialist assigned to our account had real knowledge of our profession and hiring needs. They put together a great strategic plan that was monitored weekly so adjustments could be made timely. The customer service was off the hook and would recommend this service to anyone, especially rural businesses.

ZipRecruiter is very user friendly so basically anyone with basic computer or web knowledge can navigate and set up job postings. The interface is very intuitive with easy to navigate menus. The support crew at ZipRecruiter was very helpful and knowledgable of our industry. This helped when putting together a strategic plan and keeping us up-to-date with suggestions if things were not producing results.
  • Finding qualified candidates.
  • The ability to search for qualified candidates via the resume database.
  • The support and attention to our specific account and needs was top notch.
  • The resume database allowed us to reach out to potential candidates that may have not seen our job postings.
  • The ZipRecruiter support staff were amazing.
  • The support staff at ZipRecruiter really understood our needs which helped with putting together a recruitment plan.
ZipRecruiter by far is the most comprehensive recruitment platform I have used. I have tried many other recruitment platforms and none were as comprehensive as ZipRecruiter. The hands-on assistance by the ZR staff was to notch. When we have an urgent need or just want to keep interest in employment at our campus, we turn to ZipRecruiter.

We are using ZipRecruiter mainly for Job postings and candidate management. We currently rely on this service and It is being used company wide. What ZipRecruiter brings to the table is a variety of different applicants to your inbox. Since jobs are being posted to multiple sites you will always receive fresh applicants.
  • ZipRecruiter has great exposure bringing in a ton of resumes.
  • You have the ability to surf through the applicant database with ease.
  • The user experience design is very user friendly
  • The matching of great candidates to your inbox are always on target.
  • One of the things that may help improve ZipRecruiter is the ability to filter out applicants that are not a 100% match.
  • A questionnaire can be created to filter out applicants.
  • ZipRecruiter is used as an add on , maybe they can improve to become more of a full lifecycle recruiting applicant tracking system.
When you are tired and have beat up or turned over every rock for talent, ZipRecruiter may bring some refreshing candidates. I remember working on a Tech Support role and the commute made this position very difficult. After using traditional job boards I posted on ZipRecruiter and was amazed by the results I received.

  • It really made a huge impact on finding lower to mid level Technical resources. It increased our hires to an additional 2 placements per month using ZipRecruiter.
  • The downfall to ZipRecruiter is that it may lack a true applicant tracking service, since there are larger systems out there, staff may not rely on it as often.
  • It met the business objective which was to get our jobs exposed online through social media and other places.
ZipRecruiter was a easy choice since the prices are affordable and the return on investment was a quick turn around based on our statistics and reports. We felt it was a good add to our staffing tools cause of the exposure it gave our jobs. We tried out a couple of other services but the design made it real easy for the company to accept and begin using right a way since it is self explanatory.
I have not had to contact support in regards to Zip recruiters functionalities. All seems to work well. I have noticed the chat option always present on the initial page. Seems like they are attentive and ready to resolve any customer issues. I have noticed the company account rep is always reachable through emails and answering concerns.

They all represent the staffing industry from Recruiters, Onboarding and Sales Development

We currently have 1 Admin supporting ZipRecruiter. I think someone with attention to detail and familiar with the staffing lifecycle should take on this task. Its a simple repetitive role posting the jobs and making sure jobs are not older than x amount of days. This can also be maintained by the recruiter depending on the work flow of requirements.
  • Searching within the database
  • Job Posting
  • Candidate management
  • Highly unexpected ways ziprecruiter is beneficial is the fact that it has an overwhelming sites to post jobs to.
  • More reporting and gauge in on the quality of candidates.
ZipRecruiter adds value and also the ROI is very high. If it works why change it. So far we see this product very beneficial and will continue to be an integral part of our business.

My clients use ZipRecruiter to promote their hard to fill positions - specifically in healthcare. All of my clients utilize ZipRecruiter in effort to help fill critical positions. Most of my clients have between 100-300 open positions at any given time, and ZipRecruiter plays a vital role in helping to drive applicants to these open jobs.
  • Drives applications
  • Drives QUALITY hires
  • Offers a lost cost per applicant ratio
  • Provides great customer services throughout the process
  • Providing a more visual aspect of the process
  • Showing results based on the specific site the job was promoted
  • A more detailed list of sites under their umbrella
I would say that ZipRecruiter is suited for any scenario in which someone is looking to fill open positions. Whether it is 1 or 20, the budget can be set based upon the need and the staff at Zip will help you determine what that budget should be based up your specific needs.

ZipRecruiter stacks up very well with the competition. We still use the competitors as they both provide a great return, but in terms of quality, they are top notch. From a volume stand point it all depends on the budget that is allocated, you are truly getting what you pay for - which a lot of other organizations cannot say.

Client services. I am the person who utilizes ZipRecruiter on behalf of all of my healthcare clients. I utilize it to make sure their hard to fill jobs are being promoted with the ZipRecruiter job board and alerts platforms. The goal is to drive applicants for their hard to fill positions, allowing they have the proper staffing within their respective organizations.

Again - we only have one person who interacts with ZipRecruiter and that is myself. No specific skills are required other than knowledge of the jobs that we need to be sponsored at any given time. Organization certainly helps as to ensure that we promoting the correct jobs (not to many and not to few).
  • Alerting passive job seekers about open positions
  • Allowing active job seekers to find positions on various job boards
  • Fill open positions
  • Drive quality applicants
  • Targeting out of market
  • Promoting events
  • Using both alerts and postings together
  • Sponsoring more positions
  • Expanding geo areas for job alerts
  • Adding job alerts for those clients only using postings
Results. The bottom line is the results we are getting. We are seeing not only quality applications, but quality hires that can directly be tied to our use of ZipRecruiter. The ROI is second to none - a simple and easy to use tool that is driving healthcare professionals to my various clients.
  • Getting jobs sponsored
