WooCommerce Delivers But With Pitfalls
- Ease of install
- Works well with other plugins
- Is updated regularly
- Offers a variety of product, shipping, and checkout solutions
- Too much bloated code
- The code runs on every page of the website
- The coupon code options are limited
Solid ecommerce solution for our retail business
- There are a lot of layout options for vertical images.
- It has low comission rates
- It's easy to pick up and integrate with other mainstream tools
- The listings are very easily updatable
- I find it a bit expensive, especially compared to some of its newer competitors
- It doesn't have as much technical documentation as other tools like Shopify
- There aren't a lot of plugins for it
WooCommerce refund
Handy e-commerce plugin.
I also use it for the same purpose for another business due to its plug-and-play nature and ease of use.
- Plug-and-play.
- Good security.
- Constantly updated.
- E-commerce solution.
- A lot of features involve the addition of more plugins.
- Accept crypto payments.
- Updating it is very easy because it runs on WordPress and you use WordPress' plugin update architecture.
- There are lots of third party plugins to add whatever functionality you need. You also only install the add-ons that you need so you don't have a very bloated system.
- There are many different payment systems that you can use with WooCommerce
- It is easy to add new products because it uses Wordpress' editor.
- It easily integrates with external services like print on demand services.
- Because of the add-ons you need to install to expand the functionality, it takes time to research each add-on
- It is not a "install and use right out of the box solution" like some online store services. You need to configure everything.
- To get a nice store you also have to configure all the other Wordpress parts like choosing a good Wordpress theme.
- It takes a lot of work to get a nice looking store
Love WooCommerce
- Makes it easy to create products and orders.
- Makes it easy to process orders.
- Integrates very well with other apps like our CMS and automation platform.
- We'd love to see shipping rates easily calculated
- Would be great if we can easily sync to other platforms like Etsy etc easily without using a third party app
- The extra apps can be cheaper
Makes e-commerce easy for WordPress
- Quick and intuitive install and configuration.
- Sales tax management.
- Shipping fee management when drop-shipping from multiple manufacturers.
- Template customization requires technical capabilities.
WooCommerce also makes it easy to track our online sales and manage our inventory.
- Inventory Management.
- Sales Reporting.
- Processing eCommerce Orders.
- Integration with WordPress.
- WooCommerce can be dependent on other plugins.
- While the base is a good start, you need to purchase lots of additions.
- WooCommerce is not very customizable out of the box.
WooCommerce for all your online stores
- Most popular payment gateways.
- Many integrations.
- Many plugins.
- Back end dashboard is slow.
- Check out is to complex unless you use a plugin to remove fields when not needed.
I wouldn't use it if felt I [didn't] need a complete online store. In some cases I will use a form builder with a payment gateway.
- Free base package means I can use it when I need to and not pay for it when I'm not using it
- I can customize the e-commerce options and integrate the calendar booking
- Payment processing is quick and easy and I can choose my provider
- I have to install plugins to add the functionality I need
- Sometimes I get conflicts between the plugins I have to install
- Sometimes customization is not straightforward
Great e-commerce solution for new and smaller businesses needing to get online quickly and cheaply
- Implementation is quick and straightforward.
- The free base software is often enough for most clients.
- Customization options are endless with add-on plugins.
- Because of how the WordPress database is structured, WooCommerce isn't great for large or complex e-commerce sites.
- More out-of-the-box options would be nice within the base software.
- Because add-on plugins are developed by 3rd parties, sometimes you get conflicts that break things.
For large e-commerce stores with a huge number of SKUs or very high order volume, WooCommerce will begin to get bogged down managing all of the data in the database. Sometimes it's hard to find the right plugins to do the exact customization you're needing.
WooCommerce is awesome
- WooCommerce is fully customizable and integrates perfectly with Wordpress.
- The interface is pretty easy to use and makes sense.
- It definitely is a bit of a project to be able to set up and takes some time.
- The interface is easy to use but could definitely be improved.
- Editing takes some time to push the changes through to the site.
- Easy to add/edit products.
- Easy to update stock status.
- Integrates nicely with WordPress.
- Reports are VERY basic -- it requires additional plugins.
- Search is VERY basic -- it requires additional plugins.
- Putting products on sale/offering a discount is VERY basic -- it's better if you have special plugins.
- Robust interface.
- Extremely customizable.
- Easy to integrate.
- Smoother load times.
- Better trouble shooting.
- Accessibility-friendly tagging options.
- Free and easy to install.
- Works with WordPress nicely.
- Very customisable.
- Difficult to use and manage.
- Old outdated looking dashboard.
The platform isn't as polished or user-friendly, but it's free and compatible with WordPress websites and the best option for WordPress.
Easy to implement, most amazing tool with superb features for making anything virtually possible.
- The first thing which impressed me the most is that it is free. Another thing which is most admirable is its compatibility.
- I prefer it for its integration. It is perfectly used for building multiple sites.
- One of the most appealing things is that it is open source. I think there is no other powerful E-commerce platform than this. WooCommerce is one of the matchless online shops. Its mobile application is very much beneficial that helps me in managing my store conveniently via mobile phones. It is really a good way of managing the online store. We can easily upload products, can make any modifications, and also assigning variations is easy through this.
- Moreover, the availability of thousands of plugins further helps us a lot in extending the functionality of WooCommerce so conveniently.
- I am a satisfied user of WooCommerce. I do not encounter any major issues with it yet.
- However, initially, it is quite difficult to build and manage a WooCommerce store, but if you have additional technical skills then it becomes really friendly, but this is not a big deal.
- Ability to set up commerce pages with few clicks.
- Features for multiple price, discounts, product description, etc. is what I liked.
- Easy to use data collection.
- More variety in free templates.
Woohoo, Commerce!
- Very fast to implement if you have an existing website, especially WordPress.
- Offers a well-rounded suite of tools.
- Competitive pricing makes it attractive to small businesses.
- The UI/UX feels a bit behind other product offerings.
- Sometimes slows down websites when loading info.
- Improvements in mobile UI.
WooCommerce Review
- Search function for orders (name or email, or recipient name if shipped)
- Easy to set up
- Archive for old items
- Glitches with order notifications (emailed to managers)
- Inability to set up multiple live menus
- Reporting is not robust
The best Ecom platform hands down
- Subscriptions
- Flexible checkout pages
- Content protection
- Digital and Physical Products
- Customer self service
- Clunky Default Checkout
A gold standard when it comes to quickly and easily integrating ecommerce with your site.
- Easy integration
- Online support
- Worldwide usage
- Learning curve
- Updates must be managed to avoid compatibility issues
WooCommerce is flexible for any ecommerce store
- Personalized Coupons
- Easy Checkout
- Easy Integrations
- One click checkout
- Categories management
- Multiple coupons
- Custom tags for products or promotions
Also there are groups in Facebook, LinkedIn to provide support or guidance to WooCommerce. But the learning curve is kind of complex. Depending on the business needs.
If you want an easier and better UI, you can use Shopify, it's easier to understand, manage but less easier to customize.
Low cost & quality online shopping solution
- Ease of setup
- Low cost, You can start online shop with almost 0$.
- Big community around it for trouble shooting problems
- Does not provide everything out of the box, for certain features you will have to install additional plugins.
- Their own addon plugins are costly.
- The Order table uses wp posts meta table, For those who have good amount of orders coming in, the table will keep getting larger by time that it might hog the server.
- Low cost quick online shop setup
- Very easy to set up
- Good support from the community for trouble shooting issues.
- You have to manage your own server for performance optimization
- Based on PHP, there is always a chance of getting hacked if you use too many third party plugins
