Likelihood to Recommend Well suited for organizations with large fundraising programs or many recurring donors, especially those who have the staffing to devote to reporting and fundraising data analysis. Variety of payment options is good for mobile-first or younger audiences who may be taking more frequent advantage of payment methods like Venmo and Apple Pay. Most useful if it is used in tandem as an event registration/event hosting platform (Classy Event Registration or Classy Live) as attendee data and fundraising is kept in a single place. Less appropriate for smaller organizations, or folks that will not be doing crowdfunding/peer-to-peer/events. There are other platforms that do standard donation pages well that have fewer bells and whistles but are accordingly cheaper.
Read full review Cvent Event Management has streamlined our processes, allowing a small staff to manage our events effortlessly. From event set-up through feedback, the software integrates all elements, reducing duplication of effort. Our contact database tracks our membership, allowing us to charge the appropriate registration cost and send event emails based on registration type. Using the Attendee Hub App, we have eliminated the paper program and communicate instantaneously with our attendees. Printing the badges onsite has allowed us to keep registration open longer and gain more attendees.
Read full review Pros The Classy platform is easy to use, both for the staff and our volunteer fundraisers It's easy to build a great looking fundraising page Classy support (particularly chat and phone) are attentive and responsive. Every one there is smart and nice! Read full review Registration platform can handle nearly any need. Event websites are easy to build and support customization. Support is available in multiple formats should you run into issues. There is a large user community where you can reach out for ideas and help. Read full review Cons Campaigns lack customization options which can be limiting- while you can add code to make some changes, there is a basic framework that you can't always override. Slow to roll out some donor payment options like Venmo. Not inexpensive price point and on an annual contract, so the software is definitely an investment. Read full review Allowing more in depth paths for registration questions (i.e. drill-down questions as needed) Hotel widget does not model in a user-friendly way, allowing for customer confusion and cumbersome work-arounds Flex Email customization widgets need to integrate into the emails more smoothly and be able to customize to have the same look, feel, font of the written text. At this time it does not allow for the same level of customization. Read full review Likelihood to Renew We are very pleased with the features that Cvent gives us. The ease of use and the immediate support when something does stump us. Cvent provides us with everything that we need to run a successful event. The only reason I did not Rate Cvent as a 10 is the cost
Read full review Usability VERY easy to use, but lacks flexibility. But very easy to learn and master, even for someone with technical skills. They offer live chat which is a great help for on-demand support. At higher call volumes, you may wait 10 minutes, but I’ve never waited for more than that and the support if 90% of the time very helpful.

Read full review Reliability and Availability Cvent does go down pretty frequently. And while it often doesn't impact day to day use usually, if it does go down at the wrong time, you may not be able to access very important event information when you need it. Usually outages do not last very long, but it could still be a very bad situation if this happens at the wrong moment

Read full review Support Rating Classy's team was very helpful as we transitioned over, and helped us get everything set up quite easily. The few times we've had issues or questions, their online chat feature has been a quick way to get answers. On Giving Tuesday last year, the site went down, but Classy was quick with communication to its clients and had the problem resolved in about an hour. I know that if we have any problems or questions, the company and its team will be responsive and helpful. That makes a difference to me and our small team. We don't have time to troubleshoot or stay on hold for a long time waiting for support.
Read full review I have very rarely needed support, but when I did, it seemed that there was an underlying push for a webinar, training session, or multiple phone calls. If I have a question or a need, that should be addressed nothing else.
Read full review In-Person Training Our on-site trainer was very knowledgeable in the product and gave us very important pointers on best practices and how to perform tasks in the simplest manner
Read full review Online Training I have used the webinars and cvent community a lot to gain more knowledge. I am usually always able to find the answers I need
Read full review Implementation Rating It would have been nice during implementation if we had received more pointers on how to organize our parked report folders, libraries, etc. to avoid the mess we find ourselves in today. If we had known ahead of time the limitations we could have planned better.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I have not used any other platforms like Classy. Given I came into this organization after Classy was already chosen, I was pleased with how easy it was to learn the platform and how user-friendly the entire thing is. Although I haven't used any other platforms like it, I would highly recommend it.
Read full review Eventbrite is not able to handle the complex registration forms that Cvent can. It does not collect as much information, cannot produce the save level of reports, and does not allow for multi-leveled and/or multiple registration types within one form. Being able to offer, and compare, those is vital to determining our ROI and event planning efforts. Additionally,
Eventbrite does not provide as many customizable options or branding opportunities.
Read full review Scalability We use Cvent for many different clients and events. It's very easy to customize the experience for the event that you need
Read full review Return on Investment This has been nothing but positive. We use the basic version so there is no fee associated with it other than a percentage of each transaction. So everything that comes in is added revenue where the only investment is staff time, but there is no monetary investment.
