Likelihood to Recommend Google Compute Engine is so easy to implement and run. It doesn't require much knowledge to build an app since they provide multiple options to choose from with their prebuilt sample list. We can easily make customization on any website app we built for our client according to their needs and make changes if required.
Read full review Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a great fit when you need High-performance infrastructure for mission-critical apps that require low latency and high availability. Scalable compute services for big data analytics workloads that process massive datasets. Support for DevOps teams looking to streamline their development and deployment pipelines. But it might not be the best choice for Small-scale or low-traffic applications where you can find cheaper options elsewhere. Legacy workloads running on older tech like Oracle Solaris or Windows Server, where OCI's support may be limited.
Read full review Pros Scaling - whether it's traffic spikes or just steady growth, Google Compute Engine's auto-scaling makes sure we've got the compute power we need without any manual juggling acts Load balancing - Keeping things smooth with that load balancing across multiple VMs, so our users don't have to deal with slow load times or downtime even when things get crazy busy Customizability - Mix and match configs for CPU, RAM, storage and whatnot to suit our specific app needs Read full review Scalability: During peak hours, you do not need to add additional servers, load balancers, etc., manually. Oracle does everything for you. Cost : It's amazing option of pay what you use really helped us. Interoperability: As we migrated from On-Premise, its interoperability helped reduce the time for go live. Read full review Cons Built-in monitoring via Stackdriver is quite expensive for what it provides. Initially provided quotas (ie. max compute units one can use) are very low and it took several requests to get an appropriate amount. Support on GCE is limited to their knowledge base and forums. For more hands-on support provided by Google, you must pay for their Premium services. Read full review This may be kind of obvious, but Oracle Cloud Infrastructure favours Oracle's own database products and there is limited opportunity to use, say, SQL Server as a serverless/managed database product. Thus if you use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure but want a non-Oracle DB you may need to run it on your own VM or migrate to something else Other hyperscalers, such as GCP, have a greater focus/emphasis on AI and models, and this is something Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is not yet as well-established in Other hyperscalers, such as Azure, have greater unification around its data/BI products and tools than Oracle Cloud Infrastructure currently has Read full review Likelihood to Renew Overall services are good to go. Received good feedback from users. Have regional server locations. It has free extra service included.
Read full review Reliability: Very dependable and stable OCI services have been for the business operations.Performance: The speed and efficiency of OCI in meeting their computing and storage needs.Scalability: The ease and effectiveness of scaling resources up or down to accommodate changing demands.Security: The robustness and effectiveness of OCI's security features in protecting their data and applications.
Read full review Usability Having interacted with several cloud services, GCE stands out to me as more usable than most. The naming and locating of features is a little more intuitive than most I've interacted with, and hinting is also quite helpful. Getting staff up to speed has proven to be overall less painful than others.

Read full review The services & products in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure needs more improvement to beat other Cloud service providers. The price is good & Security processes are good. We are requiring to put more effort in supporting this Oracle Cloud Infrastructure than other Cloud service providers. Probably better ways are there but is not super easy to find or not super available
Read full review Reliability and Availability The Google Compute Engine is constantly up, healthy, and available. I have never experienced any issues with it loading or functioning.Since it is accessible everywhere in the world, it is always available with low latency for all regions. However, I have occasionally seen problems with various NoSQL databases' availability, such as MongoDB, in terms of speed.Overall though, it's always accessible.

Read full review Performance Google Compute Engine's performance is up to the standard and I don't really have any complain about that. But website itself does not load quickly and there is a very noticeable delay when the website loads. And no, our system did not our slow down when we integrated Google Compute Engine in our system.
Read full review In our project where we are handling Big data, Oracle Cloud helped us a lot by improving its performance and reducing the time taken. Its role-based security helped us to manage the privacy in our project. When there was load, its scalability feature helped us a lot by scaling it to a configured higher scale.
Read full review Support Rating The documentation needs to be better for intermediate users - There are first steps that one can easily follow, but after that, the documentation is often spotty or not in a form where one can follow the steps and accomplish the task. Also, the documentation and the product often go out of sync, where the commands from the documentation do not work with the current version of the product. Google support was great and their presence on site was very helpful in dealing with various issues. Read full review Overall it is amazing, there is always room for improvement. We have weekly updates that tend to slow the program used more and more. We had to change some reports within Oracle because the others wouldn’t load. This is tied to our payroll and the delays are causing many time constraint issues and panic. We have to create a new report when one breaks. Otherwise awesome!

Read full review Alternatives Considered Google Compute Engine provides a one stop solution for all the complex features and the UI is better than Amazon's EC2 and
Azure Machine Learning for ease of usability. It's always good to have an eco-system of products from Google as it's one of the most used search engine and IoT services provider, which helps with ease of integration and updates in the future.

Microsoft Azure and Docker earlier and faced some difficulties like
Microsoft Azure and Docker. Occasionally, the generation of large images can delay deployment. It is also necessary for me to admit that
Microsoft Azure and Docker have a somewhat steep learning curve. Proper paperwork needs to be there. Docker has issues with performance on a number of platforms. On the other hand, OCI is easy to deploy and easy to understand.
Read full review Contract Terms and Pricing Model was not part of initial purchase team. Anyways, i think unit pricing and billing frequency is good compared to other Cloud service providers, when it comes to Cloud Capital expenditure & Operational expenditure. Would be more interested in exploring more options where customers can get more cost relaxations on trying out new cloud services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for example a new App or a feature

Read full review Professional Services Services & Infra wise is ok to use & host applications & services. Security wise also good for a Cloud service provider. It is a interesting area to explore & using it for day to day needs can be further improvised in future probably. Modern day Services like AI and Machine learning could be improved
Read full review Return on Investment With Google Compute we don't have the overhead of managing our own data centers reducing costs and reducing the staff needed to manage systems. As I said earlier, Google's costs are ~1/2 of AWS, so we are able to see a ROI much faster. By migrating these apps, we were able to reduce our on-prem hardware needs by 50% for a specific business unit.
