When we get the installation of the SAP BO BI Platform done on one of the BO servers, we get a whole of stacks of SAP BO BI suite tools installed. This is a package that has reporting tools inside it. For instance, web intelligence-rich clients, SAP Crystal reports, etc. We can …
We currently have implementations of both Microsoft BI and SAP Business Objects so our enterprise has found reasons for both. Some users prefer BI over SAP and it depends on the department they are working for. SAP was chosen for the more complex tasks that require large data …
Some organizations use Spotfire which is far more advanced in terms of its analytical capabilities vs. Lumira/PA etc. but the sharing/storage side of the BI Platform is far superior and much better managed. The ability to create user groups, access levels etc. on BI Platform …
I feel that SAP Business Objects tool gives me the competitive advantage over other tools because most large organizations use SAP Business Objects because of its endless scalability. Moreover it has more secured features with restrictions levied at the row level and easy to …
For a full featured SAP environment, Lumira is the suitable platform for a BW, Hana, ECC universe or third party DB universe sourced reporting compared to all of the other analytical platforms.
We chose SAP Business Objects Lumira versus other options mainly because we trust the vendor and have had good experiences with their software and customer service in the past. We found that the other software that we considered offered similar capabilities, and from past …
Major reason to go for Lumira was it was part of SAP Business Objects family and most of the organization is using BO for most of their reporting needs.
Both Tableau and QlikView score very highly in end user experience and visualisation development compared to Lumira. However the integration of Lumira with existing Universes you may have or cost implications if you have a SAP BI Suite licence can help shift the preference into …
When compared to other tools our approach is towards the self-servicing rather development that grabbed out attention towards SAP Lumira. also has more scope of maturity as a Self-Service BI.
There is lot to improve to match up with Tableau, but based on current BI platform in the organization & licensing models, ti was easy to go with Lumira which was meeting the basic requirements.
Just for trial since its SAP product and the lisence was free intially for SAP Lumira if you have HANA but I would not recommend it for people who would have to buy this product from SAP. The other ad hoc tools are far ahead in the game. Please look at Gartner for BI tools …
Data Analysis is best suited with Lumira compared with any other product. Visualisation and decision making is best thing you would recommend using Lumira for.
Ease of use was the reason I recommend it. Also I really enjoyed the "story" feature which had a really nice professional looking template that was impressive. I especially liked that the charts and data can be exported as a pdf or image file or just data as an Excel file.
Lumira is better at visualization than Analysis Office but does not allow as much in depth analysis. Also it's much easier to consume quickly with Lumira as you don't have to build a query to pull the data.
Design studio is more flexible but dashboards and visualizations need to …
I actually prefer Lumira because it integrates better with my current business intelligence investment, it's free for me to use, and it allows me to use my enterprise data as well as other data I can pull in and merge with it.
