Thye are kinda like the bigger company of the one we talked to with the most robust network and the biggest employee count. They were that "oil tanker" in the industry. With that we had a lof of features, but also it felt like they were not on the cutting edge of features in …
Easy, stable, and effective financial data management and also excellent for multiple contacts management and easy to provide accurate reports on multiple payment processing and various project activities. The CyberSource features are simple and easy to custom their functionalities and even scheduling using the solution is an amazing and useful data visualization platform.
This company has the biggest number of payment terminals in the world, so we went with them because it must have the most data available. And the tool does the work very well, it just feels a bit outdated or not on the cutting edge side but really works for what you need it to do. We had some hiccups in setting the rules up and the integration, might not be the simplest one to do but in the end the integration worked well.
price transparency- it's hard to know exactly what you're being charged for. We are charged a small % of each incoming payment batch, so AR reconciliation is more difficult
implementation- significant time and expertise required to get everything up and running smoothly
Cybersource is a decent product but 2 things are driving us to look at others options. First is the lack of customer service. Every issue that requires help is dreaded as you know if will not be an easy process. This tags into the communication access with them. Multiple emails are generally required to get any response. There have been times when we requested information about PCI compliance that they never responded. Second is the cost savings with others processors. Currently we are leaning towards Elavon as their replacement.
Ingenico ePayments has probably the best cost-to-benefit ratio. It's very versatile at its core, and the fees are not among the worst. You need to invest a little bit in your first integration, but in the long run, it pays out. In general, it provides anything you need in an eCommerce platform for the right price.
