Canva is a versatile design tool that has been widely adopted by individuals and businesses for various use cases. Users have found Canva helpful in creating social media graphics, resumes, infographics, eBooks, and more. The platform offers limitless built-in templates and media options, making it easy for users to create cohesive and professional external marketing materials.
One of the key use cases of Canva is its ability to help businesses solidify their brand and expand their outreach. Sole proprietors and small businesses use Canva to create images for social media posts, e-mail headers, e-book designs, and PowerPoint slides. It is also used across different departments, including sales, executive offices, and marketing teams, to create content for announcements, event invitations, and community engagement opportunities.
Canva enables businesses to create high-quality designs without outsourcing, reducing costs for lean marketing teams. It is recommended to clients who don't have in-house graphic design capabilities. For example, restaurants use Canva to design menus, event posters, and print marketing materials. Businesses also rely on Canva to create marketing materials such as business Instagram and Facebook posts, logos, banners, and business cards.
Another prominent use case of Canva is in the creation of visual content for ministries and book projects. It allows users to present and promote their content in fun, vibrant, and high-quality visual formats. Canva is used to design blog banners, Amazon A+ banners, web banners, and social media images for book projects.
In addition to these use cases, Canva finds its application in designing ad mockups, graphs, infographics, handouts, flyers, social media visuals, email banners, and more. Its drag-and-drop editor along with various graphics options makes it easy for non-designers within an organization to create innovative presentations or promotional materials.
Overall, Canva's wide range of features and user-friendly interface make it a valuable tool for individuals and businesses alike, helping them create professional-looking designs without the need for extensive design skills or outsourcing.
Users commonly recommend upgrading to the pro option of Canva for social media managers and teams looking to ensure consistent branding across the Internet. Canva Pro is considered a cost-effective alternative to Adobe products, especially for smaller businesses with a lower budget. It is also suggested to try Canva for free to create custom designs and stay on brand. Canva is seen as an ideal tool for basic design work, logo creation, and creating social media graphics and web designs. Users suggest utilizing Canva to quickly generate images for digital campaigns and regain control over branding. Canva is recommended as the ultimate solution for companies without a graphic design department or individuals who want to create images quickly without relying on Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. For teams and companies that are not design-heavy, Canva Pro is recognized as an inexpensive and user-friendly option. Canva for Work is suggested for centralizing brand guidelines and creating social media posts or graphics. Users recommend accessing the tutorials provided by Canva for learning how to effectively use the platform and advise checking the license agreement for $1.00 stock photos before usage. While Canva cannot replace more advanced design software like Photoshop, it is still considered a valuable tool for those with basic graphic design skills. Lastly, users recommend ensuring that the team knows the appropriate colors and fonts to use and uploading logos in PNG format for easy integration.

(1-25 of 41)Canva - When the design turns irresistible
- It helps you find the right design and helps you start with the right template
- It helps in creating for all platforms, basically you need to create the design only once and Canva takes care of the rest by resizing the design for whichever platform you want to publish it to.
- It also comes with a content planner which is extremely helpful for obvious reasons. It relieves you from the hassle of posting when the right time hits.
- There's a Brand feature which is also extremely fascinating as it helps you store all your brand information (even color) at the same place.
- Even though the content planner is good, it still could be more user friendly. I bet you'll struggle you way around when you use it for the first time.
- The mobile app of Canva hogs up resources and does not work properly on a low end Device. It also lacks some features hence the desktop app is recommended for large scale uses.
- Canva has an overwhelming number of graphics and templates, and most of it are insanely similar to each other. This overuse of design sometimes causes ambiguity in deciding on the best choice for the design.
Hey, You! Stop getting mocked and make better graphics
- Creating professional presentations
- Creating animated GIFs
- Creating logos
- Unlimited number of free templates
- Ready-made templates for advertising for your school, centre, or institution
- Customer Support is poor
- Mobile App is difficult to use
- Background Remover needs more tools
- They need to include 3D section to design logos or elements inside photos
The mobile app is very clunky and has tended to misformat my designs when moving from device to device. I would expect Canva to have a more robust set of tutorial videos or animated images that are readily available on their website and mobile app. I also want to see Canva seek out other social media types and integrate those into its business model. They should begin to look at how they can use social media as a product they sell or sell one off to people who want it rather than simply provide this service through their website.
Canva - For Everyone
- Design multi-page documents
- 8000+ templates in free version
- Drag and Drop Editor
- Canva’s learning curve is designed to be very gentle
- Ease of use
- Not good for photo editing
- Inserting a table is not that easy
- Output formats are limited
- When you select a template of a particular size, let's say 16:9, you cannot resize this later after you start working on it
- Easy Designing
- Lots of customizable templates

- Light weight website.
- Support mobile platform editing through app.
- Stability over weak network
- More features should be added.
- Video editor needs more development
- need to enrich audio resources.
- user-friendly tool
- create great content even if you aren’t a professional designer
- Template for everything under the sun
- Text, graphics, and photo options for no additional charge
- The site is down quite a bit and crashes at times
- customer support is not great
- mobile app is difficult to use
- Organization of creations and files downloaded
Get it. Learn it. Review it. Improve it.
- User interface is easy to learn.
- The offering of templates with preset dimensions is great.
- The Canva community has a Facebook group that is great for questions and feedback.
- The mobile app is very clunky and has tended to misformat my designs when moving from device to device.
- The customer service I received when asking about help with the mobile app was prompt but wasn't essentially helpful or beneficial. I received a professionally worded "It is what it is at the moment".
- For a service that is geared toward social media as one of its main uses, I would expect them to use social media more often, in a variety of different ways, to exemplify its product [insta stories in particular], not just share articles and tutorials but really giving us an authentic glimpse of the people/team at Canva.
- Webinars. Need webinars.
Quick one-off projects from a mobile device isn't great for using Canva.
OBSESSED with how easy this was to use!
- Social media content
- GIFS & Movies
- Logo design
- Sometimes software bugs up and needs to be reloaded
- Better support and optimization for mobile
Canva makes my brain happy
- Showing alignment of objects in relation to objects around it (snapping).
- Printing!
- Simple for beginners to use.
- The mobile app is less intuitive to use.
- The mobile app will sometimes change the layout of the design from how it looks on a desktop.
- The mobile app doesn't allow downloading one single page from a design.
- I would love the option of creating a transparent background.
Create appealing and creative ads through this software
- Ample of creative templates for Flyers, Posters & Banners.
- Attractive and User friendly Interface.
- Regular Updates and supports big Applications Like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
- Less Cloud Storage In Free plan atleast It should be of 10gb.
- Animation and vector design is missing.
Customize your designs with Canva
- Provides attractive templates according to the user needs
- A lot of options for Elements, images, text style to style your design for free
- Able to export the work to PDF or image format in a single click
- Nothing much to dislikes but It would be nice if canva was more user friendly in mobile web browser, as navigation is bit difficult while designing in mobile phones
A review from a true Canva lover since 2014
In the part of the presentations, I'm so happy. I'm able to make presentations even from my mobile. I used to use a presentation app and I am slowly migrating to Canva. Now when I have to show my presentations from another computer to make the presentation, the setup headache is a past thing.
The part I love the most is the time I save using this app.
- The big library of templates and graphics resources
- The multiple possibilities and formats
- Their constant upgrades
- The brand kit section
- The content planificator
- The designs - organizations should be able to actually organize in folders
- Entrepreneurs that can't pay for a designer
- Social Media agencies for easy management
- Content creation such as books, infographics, cards, social images, etc.
- People that want to manage their personal brand with style but don't know how to design
- Speakers that need a place where they can manage multiple presentations
Canva makes creating custom images simple and fast with no graphic design experience required.
- Easily create graphics for website banners and images
- Create professional-looking social media images from our phones
- Quickly create engaging banner ads
- Canva is great to create aesthetically pleasing documents, but it can be pretty clunky
- The ability to easily remove image backgrounds would be a great tool to have so we don't have to upload are images to other free background removing tools.
Give your design a real feel
- First of all the pre-design template it's having
- The ease of using the Canva for the beginners
- The UI of the Canva is was very good.
- Canva has a problem if you don't have a stable network then it keeps refreshing and sometimes it doesn't save your design.
- Canva doesn't have good features when you are using a free trial and the paid version is more expensive for beginners.
- Canva mobile version has half of the features as compared to the web.
Click. Create. Convert.
- Canva is very easy and intuitive to use.
- Onboarding new employees into the system is very simple and fast.
- Keeps branding consistent with the ability to save and reference key colors, fonts , logos, etc.
- I have two Canva accounts, my personal one and my business one, which also has a team component to it. I somehow have duplicated things on my login and can't figure out a way to delete the account that isn't being actively used. So if you have multiple accounts you'll want to assure you are setting them up correctly from the beginning. Perhaps watch a YouTube video on this before you dive in.
- I wish I could take just a single page from a deck and then save it on its own or add it to another deck.
- I am not sure if it does this, but I would like to be sharing my pitch decks with links to my Canva presentation and a history of who opened it, when, how long they were viewing it on each page, etc. and a password to view it or approved emails that can have access to the document.
Can-do Canva
- Create multi-layered graphics quickly using a simple interface
- Set company colors and fonts so that every user has quick access to the brand style
- Provides a large database of free-to-use graphics and templates
- I'd like an integration that removes the background from an image in one click
- There is no ability to collaborate on an image with someone else in real time
- I would like to be able to resize a canvas once I've started working on it
Canva is the easiest tool for graphic design
- Large number of features for social sharing
- One of the best image libraries I have ever found
- Easy team collaboration
- Good mobile app for working on projects from multiple devices
- Ease of use to create and duplicate content in seconds
- Images and elements can be free one day and costly the next
- Limited ability to sort by free images or elements
- File sizes can become quite large which will use up significant Memory
- Selection of icons to use
- Drag and drop features
- Sizing to fit different formats
- Sharing with others
- Need more stock photos to choose from
Simple and Effortless Designing with Canva
- Canva has a very simple and intuitive workspace, which is loaded with different tools for editing.
- Canva has a big cache of pre-built templates, videos, photos ready to use for any kind of designing work.
- It requires no prior experience to start working on Canva, simply select the desired template and modify the text and image right away.
- Play with pre-built elements for creative designs, choose from tons of shapes, lines, and stickers.
- The 'Upload' feature is very handy when I need to insert my images or videos in a design project.
- No tension of losing data, it saves all the work automatically and also keeps my work in handsome cloud storage.
- The images and videos can only be used as provided by Canva, there is no way to edit or modify them.
- It lacks drawing or freehand design tools, such as various shapes of brushes for painting or pens for signature and handwriting.
- You cannot use multiple soundtracks or audio files, only one audio track is applicable for the entire project.
Canva is great if you need it!
- Free version has a lot of options.
- Stores items in cloud until you are finished.
- Easy to use interface.
- Can export to other formats.
- It seems to be missing effects
- a mobile app would be nice
- Templates would be helpful
- No phone support
Use Canva (free) for blogs, social media, and CVs
- There's no need to subscribe to or pay for Canva. Even though free version provides limited options, it's enough for what I need.
- It has almost all formats available, and if there's not a template, I can make my own.
- It stores all my designs until I delete them.
- I find that the latest updates are solid. It even has TikTok templates, which tells me the company keeps track of social media usage.
- The interface is easy to use.
- Great phone app that has all the same features that Canva on the web does.
- Many export options.
- The available images sometimes look similar, which makes me feel like I have limited options.
Easy and robust graphic design
- Designing flyers, magazines, certificates and a lot of marketing materials like brochures, company profiles, etc.
- It also has the advantage of creating design specific materials like a LinkedIn header or Twitter post/poster
- You can also create GIFS
- The fact that before you can include you picture on your design you have to first upload it on Canva. This is boring, and I'd prefer to directly upload the picture into the design without having to upload it into Canva then selecting it from Canva to paste it onto your design
- The mobile app should ensure the same functions and features that are on the desktop version. For example, when you click back in the mobile app, half the time your work is lost
- Resize the design without having to upgrade
Easy-peasy Canva
- There are numerous available templates for creating a variety of educational and marketing materials.
- User-friendly, lots of available "helps", can create teams for shared use and collaborative editing.
- Extremely cost effective!
- Canva could provide increased communication on benefits of team accounts, costs for upgrades services, and opportunities to pay in advance for easier billing.
- Some basic symbols and graphics are only provided at cost, which seems like an unnecessary additional expense.
- Periodic email updates on new features, products, or services would be helpful.
Canva, perfect tool for CMs with little time and a small budget
- It's a light app. I love that because my phone, as I work generating content for social media, is full of photos and apps for editing.
- Both the desktop and the mobile version have a lot of templates, like, really a lot, that most of the time are adequate for your goals.
- The templates are very nice, flexible, and aesthetic. You can change the colors, the photos, the font... everything!
- It doesn't take much time to produce a pretty graphic piece.
- I think it takes time to understand how to use the tool. It could be more intuitive.
- Sometimes, at least in the mobile version, some templates get ruined or at least messy because you deleted a picture or moved one. It takes time to get to know how to edit them properly.
- It's not so obvious which templates are free and which ones are paid. They should be grouped differently.
Beautiful graphics for designers and non-designers alike!
- It has lovely templates if you want to start from a beautiful starting point.
- You can easily customize templates are start-from-scratch on your graphics.
- There are lots of free graphics to use, but you can also pay for more premium ones.
- It is a little bit difficult to use on a tiny screen like the iPhone. I feel it would be easier to use on an iPad.
- The really nice graphics are only available at a cost.
Canva: the perfect solution for social media shares.
- Quick to produce social media content
- You can use it on the cloud. No need for downloading software.
- Canva has the ability to create content for different social media platforms. For example, you could create posts just fit for Instagram in square format.
- You could write an e-book with Canva.
- Canva's mobile app has more design restrictions than the browser app. It is a little bit hard to use on mobile devices.
- Templates section could be broadened to other new business areas, like 3D printing.
- Direct social media sharing options within Canva are limited to Facebook and Twitter. There should be other media options such as Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
