What is Jottacloud?
Jottacloud is a cloud storage service used to back up, sync and share files.T eams, organizations and businesses can store, share and collaborate on files and folders, or co-author office documents in real time.
- Cloud storage - If something happens to a device, files will not be lost. Everything is safely stored in Norwegian datacenters.
- Back up folders from a computer - Automatically backup folders on Windows or Mac computer. Jottacloud will make sure that files are instantly and securely replicated to the cloud for safe keeping.
- Store any type of file - Photos, video, presentations, documents, spreadsheets and PDFs. Any type of file can be stored in Jottacloud.
- Upload files from a phone or browser - Drag and drop folders to upload files with a browser, or use the Jottaform mobile app pick and choose files to upload.
- Access anywhere - Using a browser or our apps for computers, phones and tablets, files can be accessed from any location.
- Important files always available - Synchronizes the most important files and folders to a computer, which means that files are always up to date and available.
- Organizes files and folders - Files can be controlled on Jottacloud with the ability to copy, move, rename or delete files and create new folders and documents.
- File version history - The version history can be used to restore old versions of any file. The five latest version of any file is retained.
- Lost file recovery - If files are accidentally deleted or lost, they can be recovered from the Jottacloud trash can, where it is kept for 30 days after being deleted.
- Free up space on the computer - Moves files to the online archive to free space on a computer.
- Access files offline - Important files can be selected to remain available on a phone, even without internet access, for productivity on long flights or travels.
- Command-line tool - The command-line client (CLI) lets the user back up folders, and is capable of running on most devices with Windows, OS X and linux systems such as desktops, servers, NAS devices, and even Raspberry Pi.
- Sharing folders and collaboration - Friends or colleagues can be invited to shared folders, to collaborate on projects. Shared folders are automatically synchronized to the computer of all the collaborators, and changes made are instantly available to all folder members.
- Real-time collaboration on Office documents - Jottacloud supports collaborative editing of files in Microsoft Office Online. Multiple users working on the same shared documents can work together by making edits on the same document, in real time.
- Two-Factor Authentication - Protects accounts with an extra layer of security.
- Log in with FB and Google - Links account to well known identity providers. Facebook or Google can be used to login to Jottacloud.
- List devices with access to an account - Displays all authenticated devices that run Jottacloud applications connected to an account.
- World-class privacy - Jottacloud is a Norwegian company that operates under Norwegian jurisdiction. Norway has some of the strongest privacy laws in the world.
- GDPR - Located in Norway, Jottacloud is compliant with the European GDPR regulations. Jottacloud helps businesses stay GDPR compliant.
