Key Features
Image & System State backups: WholesaleBackup enables users to generate recoverable images or system state backups, which can be scheduled for offsite uploading. This feature provides additional recovery options for customers.
Speedy on-premise vault: The software supports local and offsite storage, allowing users to have an on-premise vault at no cost. By checking the onsite vault first, it aims to facilitate faster restores.
Recover data to new computers: Users can install the software on a new computer and migrate the account for full access to recoverable data, simplifying the data restoration process.
Bare Metal Restore: WholesaleBackup offers a feature for restoring a server to its original state using BMR media generated by the backup software.
Backup Ops: This feature provides a centralized location for monitoring and managing accounts. It allows users to create custom labeled installers, set up reports and alerts, and remotely manage configuration changes.
Block deduplication: The software employs an incremental backup architecture using block-level differentials and deduplication, improving storage efficiency by backing up only new or changed data.
Compression engine: WholesaleBackup breaks files down into blocks before backing them up, reducing file sizes by a significant percentage depending on the type. It uses a default compression level similar to zip utilities.
Online backup for servers: The software supports backup of various servers, including SQL Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, and Application Servers. It backs up data from snapshots created using Windows VSS writers.
Workstation backup: Users can back up Windows and Mac workstations, laptops, tablets, and more. They have the flexibility to select critical data for automated incremental backups, ensuring important files are protected.
Custom file selections: This feature allows users to customize default file selections and programmatically choose files and folders, eliminating the need for manual selection.
