Overall Satisfaction with Brightmove
Brightmove is used by our recruiting department. There are about 50 recruiters who support recruiting across the nation. Brightmove is used to hire about 4000 people per year. It is used to manage incoming resumes, and houses information on hiring managers. It also has an interface to our background check services.
- Brightmove is intuitive and easy to learn and to use. It interfaces well with social media.
- Brightmove has good capabilities to build interfaces to other systems, such as a background checking system.
- In addition, Brightmove has a good record of being available.
- Brightmove could use a better interface to Outlook
- When Brightmove released a new version of its product, it had a new look and feel. My company was taken by surprise. We didn't realize that it was coming and had not trained for the changes. They did send an email, but we missed it. A phone call or two would have been a smart way to go.
- There is a "shopping cart" for candidates; however, when you close Brightmove the cart goes away. There should be a warning message.
- Better customer service for our candidates
- Increased employee efficiency
- Better customer service for our hiring managers
I have only used one other system - it was antiquated and could not hold a candle to Brightmove.
Brightmove Implementation
- Vendor implemented
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Our change management went well. Part of the reason was that our prior system was completely out-of-date. Changing to Brightmove was like a breath of fresh air, and a welcome change. For change management, we recorded videos that showed how easy it was to use. It would have been good for Brightmove to provide some communications to assist with change management.
- We transferred our existing resumes. This turned out to be a nightmare.
- There was a project management company that Brightmove hired to work with the project, but they were sorry. They missed several key milestones that Brightmove should have met.
- Brightmove underestimated the work required for the implementation. Severely underestimated.
