Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Dayforce is our Payroll Engine system for timekeeping and Time & Attendance management. We also use the Performance, Talent, Compensation, and Learning modules of Dayforce. Dayforce Wallet is another product that is rolled out across North America. This helps us have a one-stop-shop HCM solution for our region where everything from employee master data to Payroll data to performance data lives, giving us a homogeneous platform to perform most of our HR calendar activities and then leveraging that rich data set to drive meaningful analytics.
  • Custom reporting.
  • Time management, Time & attendance
  • Compensation planning.
  • Elections management.
  • Retirement arrears management.
  • Talent card.
  • Improved efficiency resulted in right sizing of Payroll team.
  • Tax and compliance piece managed by Ceridian as part of managed services.
  • Ability to integrate with global core HCM helped improve data quality.
Ceridian has a dedicated compliance portal that offers standard compliance certificates as requested by external auditors (e.g., SOC letters and bridge letters). Standard reporting also offers some base reports required for external reporting. For the rest, we need to work with their support team and get custom reports either developed for us or run for us based on data not available to be reported on.
Almost the entire HR lifecycle for an employee happening in one tool has many benefits. It has helped us by enabling - 1. Higher data accuracy across the board 2. Ability to build field mapping and workflow-based automation 3. Ability to promote employee and manager self-service enabled by custom workflows 4. There is no need for multiple imports/exports of Payroll/compensation/Performance/Time and attendance data across different tools.
We don't use Ceridian benefits, so we do have to have multiple up and downstream integrations.

Yes

Are you happy with Dayforce's feature set?

Yes

Did Dayforce live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dayforce go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dayforce again?

No

Strengths - 1. Payroll engine - strong, intuitive, user friendly 2. Time management - pretty strong out-of-the-box offering, capable of base-level schedule optimization 3. Performance module - very easy to set up and run the entire performance management cycle. Opportunities - 1. Compensation planning is rolling up to a role and not a person in a role. 2. Merging of two reports to build a custom report 3. Data field directory/labeling to be able to pull/post through API accurately.
