Overall Satisfaction with Checkout.com
We use Checkout.com to enable our users to load their fintech accounts at Modak. We use them to accept debit and credit cards across all major networks - Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. We use multiple types of their integrations - including one time payment links, recurring payments, subscriptions, etc., As such, we are one of the power users of Checkout.com.
- Great implementation support
- Good service for a mid market client or a fast growing startup
- The tech works and seamless in acceptance
- Their in-built fraud tooling is getting very good
- Their dashboard can get better. They have been making improvements
- Faster settlements as it's a bit of a pain to have big reserves till ACH clears every day
- Much stronger consumer facing brand name in the US so more end customers trust the links powered by Checkout.com
- It enabled us to accept many more ways for customers to load their money to cards.
- It enabled us a small startup to have feature parity with established fintechs!
- Great fraud and other tooling to help us get out training wheels.
They do a good job in this. They take all this complexity and abstract it away using great API and tech. Moreover, they have very good solutions engineers and they work with you to solution for edge case and fine tune implementation. This has helped us a lot in adding a lot of value to the end user.
As I've mentioned earlier, Stripe is good for small startups but if you're fast growing startup or midmarket player, their sales machine is a blackhole and they have been struggling to keep up. Adyen on the other hand is great but it's only focused on large enterprise and their support may not exist for smaller ones. Hence, Checkout.com is a pretty good solution. Finix is great. But they were too small and we wanted to see some more big names in their clients before we route big volumes through them.
