Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)
It is used as a WAN router or some call it a perimeter router, before we didn't have any router at WAN edge. The main need of this router is to create IPSEC over GRE tunnel between my regional branches and [Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)] [works] very well for my organization.
- IPSEC
- GRE
- VPN
- debugs
- More built in WAN ports
- Should have option for dual power supply
- IPSEC
- GRE Tunnel
- DMVPN Tunnel
- Every type of routing is supported by the device
- Not much costly but security licensing should not be needed separately
- Failover support is brilliant; If one link goes down by using SLA configuration link automatically shifted to another link without knowing any user
FortiGate is a firewall and we can not terminate DATA and Internet on [the] same device. [Furthermore] , if we use it as a router on WAN, we will need unnecessary licenses for our product, which are not required. [Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)] is much richer in routing protocols than FortiGate.
