Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud
Cision is used to monitor news coverage and build analytical reports. PR is looking into possibly using this for press releases. It is mainly used by the public relations team within the marketing department.
- Media lists.
- Fairly easy to use.
- Searching for bios.
- Variety of media outlets, news, blogs, etc.
- Viewership data.
- Search is not as accurate as we would like.
- Database doesn't seem to be well maintained. Not always updated or accurate.
- Receive too many emails. Seems that even if you unsubscribe, you still get alerts.
- Can find news on Google that Cision does not carry or seemed to miss.
- Very high priced for what you get.
- Cision can be very slow at times, causing timeouts on our computers.
- PR has had more success using other platforms.
We added Cision and HPE to our PR cloud usage in order to review as well as expand our R&D service reach. Cision seems to work better for smaller companies, and not really for research and development. I don't believe we will continue with Cision.
