Overall Satisfaction with Cloudera Enterprise

Cloudera was deployed in a internal APJC Lab environment to support Big Data service creation on Company's Unified Server platform. The professional services organization was trying to create services to leverage the server product line services in the region.
  • Cloudera was able to help the deployment of nodes and consistency on the content deployment across multiple server blades.
  • As any new technology, difficult to hire resources who know the solution specially in APJC to help with Lab and PoC activities.
  • The optimization of the cluster deployment and managements returns FTE cost immediately after the initial setup. It helps Lab teams to rapidly implement nodes and clusters for PoCs and Lab activities.
A deep bench of Hadoop experts, major contributions to the Hadoop open source community and a solid head start getting market recognition, skills and awareness across the teams.
Likely to renew the use in case the requirements for Cloudera remain valid. The rapid change in customer requirements and solutions that must be validated, integrated or tested changes. As the maturity of the solution increases, the requirements to renew use decrease. From a solution feature perspective by itself would probably grade 10.
Basically, the hardware platform to be used, the network design, the use case for exploring Cloudera features, the size of the clusters, the management/assurance requirements to support the solution from an enterprise perspective, any automation/interface requirements to automate provisioning and environment preparation, multitenancy deployments.
