Overall Satisfaction with Elementor
Elementor is a Wordpress page builder that allows me to create attractive, interactive and creative web pages on our WordPress website. As the website designer, I was looking for a cost-effective plugin that helped me to create various types of landing pages and even blog posts. I had been using the free version for 6 months and wanted more flexibility and power in customizing the pages to suit my visual branding so I invested in the pro plan.
- You can create professional and creative web pages and it works with all the WordPress themes I've used.
- Free plan with some useful features to get started with.
- Easy to set up and get started with and if you get stuck provides useful video tutorials.
- Has a great Facebook community that provides tips, advice, and support.
- What Elementor could really improve on is being more flexible with the plan that only allows you to use on one website. I was moving my website and when I tried to upload my paid plugin to the new website as the old one was deleted it didn't allow me and stated I had to purchase a new pro plan. I was so frustrated as I still had 5 months left on the old plan. So, more flexibility and understanding of plans is needed.
- Needs to improve the number of glitches and Elementor not being available as that can be very frustrating when you plan to be making edits on your web pages.
- Better integration with other plugins. The discovered some of the issues I had faced with Elementor was because it wasn't compatible or conflicted with themes and other plugins.
- Positive: Provides a free plan for those not ready to invest.
- Postive: The paid plans are cost-effective and worth it.
- Negative: Unable to use the paid plugin on another website if you're moving your site to a new host due to the licensing restrictions. Resulting in having to pay for another plugin.
I started out using Elementor first and invested in the paid plan and then when I needed to move my website to a new host I was unable to use my previous paid plugin so I decided to try out Brizy. After being stung but Elementor I decided to not invest in Brizy and use their free plugin instead.
I found that Brizy was much easier to use, provided a lot more themes, functionalities and looked more professional and that's just with the free version. Elementor needs to have competition and definitely needs to improve what it offers.

Evaluating Elementor and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
I had been using Elementor for 6 months and needed more features and ways to customize it to suit my business needs and had a look at the pro features and realized investing in the plan was the only way I could create the webpages I needed. The pro plan was a reasonable price and on top of that, I liked that it came with 12 months support.
If I had to do it again, I would have tested out Elementor for much longer and tried out alternatives. Since I had been using Elementor and most of my webpages were Elementor based I didn't want to try something that may have been totally different. I also would have made sure to only invest in the yearly pro plan once I knew which web hosting provider I wanted to commit to for the next 12 months.
