Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
We use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute for spinning up Linux and Windows Server instances to provide development, preproduction, and UAT environments for the individuals to test their web applications to ensure they're working correctly, enhance production delivery, and create instances without worrying about infrastructure.
- Secure access to your instance
- Remotely accessible
- Flexibility to chose your operating system without worrying about infrastructure
- Allows full network isolation, leading to uncompromising workloads
- Should focus on lowering costs on Windows Server computing instance
- Very limited support for IIS web applications
- Not recommended for beginners (requires extensive industry experience)
- A good deal when it comes to provisioning bare metal and virtual machines
- Lower success rate in case of IIS web applications and Windows VM instance pricing
- Good service so far because every cloud service has its ups and downs
Azure App Service's cost is quite high and also takes across 10-15 minutes to spin up an IIS instance. The portal crashes from time to time and the technical support is quite poor, which is why Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute is a good choice in this case with moderate costs (only in case of Linux) and immediate technical support.
