Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
Paycom is currently being used within two global business verticals within our organization. The platform is primarily used to automate payrolling and tax processes within these two verticals. Our intent was to resolve the issue of having multiple payroll and tax vendors by consolidating into one and to increase overall efficiencies by reducing labor redundancies in these areas of focus for us.

- Process automation and flagging for errors that would have otherwise been manual with previous vendors
- Workload redundancies across platform users and system managers
- Functionality and interface are not as intuitive and user friendly in some aspects
- API process feeds are difficult to initially set up and time consuming
- Reporting features are not really that robust and customization of reports lags behind other platforms
- ROI on the bottom line has been significant by reducing workload redundancies through automation of previously manual processes
- Consolidation of multiple vendors to reduce overhead costs

Support and Self-Service
Previously we used multiple vendors, both locally and globally, and tried to use an API integration to coalesce payrolling and tax data together with limited success. By switching to a single vendor, those problems have been mostly alleviated. We still perform some checks to ensure accuracy and build in flags where appropriate, but the benefit can been seen with reduced number of system admins and payrolling specialists to manage.
During our initial setup, the consulting team did a great job at helping to address our needs and hear out our concerns and then build a system with processes to enable efficiencies in areas we otherwise were lagging in. They were very thorough and asked follow-up questions and even pushed back on some of our ideas and approach to offer better solutions.
Self-service capabilities, especially with managers who oversee employees in different states/locales/regions has been fantastic and has given them more capabilities to ensure employee pay/bonuses/merits are accurate. The self-service portal is also relatively user friendly and intuitive to use, so the change management needed to adopt a new platform was minimal, with the proper guides and resources.
