Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Paylocity for payroll purposes primarily, which includes tax and benefit withholding calculations, other deductions, reports, tax documents. We also use Paylocity for communication with our staff which has been very helpful. There are about 3-4 employees here who use Paylocity regularly, but nearly all our staff at least use it for pay information and communications.

We honestly don't use a lot of the automation tools Paylocity provides. Because our hours are tracked on a separate system, I have to manually calculate hours for payroll and enter them into Paylocity. That say, Paylocity does a great job at calculating employee pay, deductions, and reducing the potential for errors for us.
We also don't use Paylocity's employee recognition services, but I would like to! We have used their survey feature multiple times, and I have been very happy with that. It's easy for us to make surveys, collect responses, and protect the identity of employees participating in the surveys. The Community feature is a nice way to get out announcements to staff quickly and efficiently.
I like Paylocity way more than UKG. I think Paylocity is much easier to navigate, train employees on, and use. In my opinion, UKG was harder to navigate, creating processes in their system was awkward and felt like you needed to have an IT degree. Paylocity in contrast has been a lot smoother for us to navigate, and any processes that I have created in the system are a breeze!

I really like Paylocity. It works well for our business purposes, and is really easy to navigate. Before using Paylocity I used UKG for a couple years, and it was a pain for us to navigate, create workflows in, and train staff on. I think Paylocity is a lot more straightforward by comparison. For businesses like ours where employees are not at computers much (if at all), you likely won't get much of a return on investing in the personnel management modules, but I am sure that larger businesses with more staff on computers would be able to utilize these modules more.
