Overall Satisfaction with Planful
Planful is used to consolidate financial results, budget, forecast, do intercompany eliminations, and financial and management reporting. Planful allowed us to have one source of truth for all financial and budget data. It also allows us to work location independent. It has also allowed us to improve the accuracy and speed of financial reporting and analysis.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Financial Consolidations
- Multiple Sets of Books
- Simple to learn
- Data Integration for large data sets
- Year end data rollforward
- Locking of data/periods
- Enabled scalability by having trusted source of data (Grew almost 100% under Planful)
- Enabled seemless collaboration between 80+ users
- Helped reduce time to consolidation 5 days (30%)
Planful has enabled collaboration up and down the finance chain, with review occuring at multiple levels, with "subledger" to the budget available. We do not currently use it outside of Finance, but has definitely enabled collaboration across 50+ entities within finance and accounting.
Planful has enabled multiple people to pull their own information, enabling everyone from the CFO down to Analysts to pull their own data, and get access to what they need, when they need it. This has really empowered everyone in the organization to self serve. The biggest downfall, as an administrator, is that people keep asking for more data to be put in outside of direct Finance data!
I don't have quite as much experience with other tools.
