Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base
It is being used by all engineering teams for project management, as well as, information gathering and sharing amongst teams. Quickbase lets us bypass our old PM tool that did not manage workflow. We allow contractors to access our quickbase projects to make their updates as well. This allows all teams to have visibility on the project status. We also have great dashboards that are used by all executives so that they can "slice and dice" project progress by workgroup/vendor/individual.
- Extremely easy to use. Customizable by user groups so that the user only sees what they need to see or want to see.
- Development is "on the fly" and does not need months of IT time or resources.
- It is a one stop shop for all project task owners. PMs don't have to update complicated Gantt or MS Project charts. Each user/task owner makes their updates directly in Quickbase and Quickbase pulls all the pieces together into one project plan. PM only has to look for delays or misses (which Quickbase can flag) to keep a project on track.
- Complicated reports are easy to create and customize in minutes so that you can quickly assess the status of the project or drive accountability down to the user level.
- I also like the ability to drill down from a high level project down to a task or user level so that project delays can easily be identified and rectified.
- The monthly recurring cost has always been an issue for us. It becomes more important for us because we need many users to be able to access and provide updates. Each user has to pay a monthly license fee and that creates issues because some people are still using spreadsheets and we have to do manual uploads each evening.
- This may be an issue of how we developed Quickbase, but there are times where it seems to take some time to download views and data. Not sure if this is Quickbase, our connection or the way we created our application.
Absolutely. We tried for years for IT to produce a solution for us that would link inputs and produce outputs to our existing systems. We decided to purchase Quickbase and do it on our own. Within 60 days with just 1.5 developers, we have a fully functioning tool that allowed all our teams to track and update projects. This enabled us to complete multimillion dollar projects that we could not have achieved without this tool.
- Google sheets and Microsoft Project
None of these were interactive across multiple teams and were not easy to use.
- Building and deploying business applications faster
- Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
- Improving collaboration across one or more teams
- Solving a specific business challenge
- Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
All of the above -- many times!
Easy to use. I am not computer savvy and cannot even do vlookups in Excel. However, I can create forms, dashboards and reports in quickbase. It is super easy to use and develop. I never have to ask for IT support. I have managed multimillion dollar projects in Quickbase where I personally did the development. I think that it's a testament to Quickbase because I am not computer savvy.
We do this on a daily basis and it only takes a few minutes. This is a huge advantage versus using any other apps. We see a need and we fix it within minutes. No complicated user requirements docs or IT meetings to get to our end result. We want it and we just do it.

I would want this to have an offline mode. We work in remote areas and the offline mode is needed. We are looking for alternate solutions. Also, I think the Qbase developers need to be "reachable". Our sales guy never has due dates or an understanding of what we need or when we might get it. He always sends us to user groups.
Quick Base Implementation
- Implemented in-house
- none really
Quick Base Training
Configuring Quick Base
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface
Some - we have added small pieces of custom code - we paid a third party so IDK?
Quick Base Support

Good followup Problems get solved No escalation required Support understands my problem Quick Initial Response | Slow Resolution Less knowledgeable Not kept informed Difficult to get immediate help Support doesn't seem to care |
No - not sure if it's available, but I would not pay for it because it seems like Qbase is completely disconnected from what it's users needs. They just develop what they think is important. I don't feel as if we have a voice at all. Our Sales guy never seems to know when we can get a new service or product.
Yes - Nope. Black hole
