Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard NGFW

It is being used by 2 of the legal entities that I manage. It is being used mainly as an internet security device.

  • Well priced
  • Very stable
  • Not on par with newer solutions
  • Does not have a lot of local representation
  • It has worked well
  • Little to no consulting needed for administration
Sophos is more advanced and is better in the Gartner quadrant right now. It is more sophisticated as well. I still use WatchGuard because it is still functional for part of the company conglomerate but might be centralizing everything under Sophos soon.
WatchGuard NGFW is well suited for smaller companies that have less security worries. Not so appropriate for larger companies that have more requirements.
