AWS Compute Optimizer works well if you are using AWS as the core tech stack. If you are on mixed cloud deployments, then it is less appropriate because it can only give you a partial view. It might be helpful to use a tool that aggregates the usage and billing data from multiple platforms instead.
Detect sudden increases in spending and drill down to root causes. Review monthly AWS bills to identify top services and accounts driving costs. Monitor costs against budgets and set alerts to prevent overspending. Predict upcoming costs based on historical trends for financial planning. Allocate costs to teams or projects using tags and linked accounts. Check utilization of Reserved Instances or Savings Plans for optimization.
Very good mature interface, keeping one scale point to improve further with interactive dashboard/report capabilites, etc. Good enough to work with the costs for FinOps, we can get almost all the cost analysis details at the same place, but a unit economics visibility at the same dashboard would be great
