Microsoft
Azure Lab Services is incredibly beneficial to our school board as a replacement for high-end graphics workstations needed for courses utilizing 3d graphics - the Autodesk and Adobe suites of products. The devices have a cost that is considerably higher than our line of business devices. These high-end devices are designated only for use with those courses meaning that the devices remained underutilized. Azure Lab Services isn't a good replacement for regular workloads as the overhead for management is considerable compared to regular devices.

Azure Virtual Desktop is an excellent tool for extending your existing infrastructure to the cloud and providing the same experience to users in both on-premises and virtual environments. Azure Lab Services, with its quicker setup time, and lack of connection to existing domains provides the ability to quickly spin up virtual environments for use for experimentation, learning, or delivering production resources.
