Cisco 8000 Series Routers vs. Flexential Data Center Interconnect

It’s a big core platform. It’s sort of the absolute center of the network and that’s where it lives and fits. And so it’s very well defined there and it competes well with the Nokia and the Juniper options. Very excited to offer it.

Rating the usability of a high-end carrier-grade platform like the Cisco 8000 Series Router isn't quite the same as rating a consumer Wi-Fi router. Its "usability" depends entirely on whether you are looking at it from the perspective of a network architect or a day-to-day operator. On a scale of 1–10, I’d give it an 8/10.

Our NOC is trained in Cisco Products and so the decision was easy to decide to get a Cisco router again. We also are planing to upgrade our Internet uplinks so the new models will be way more better.
