Clockwork vs. Sage Intacct Planning

Great for large and medium-scale organizations who want detailed budgets! It also works well for our small-medium org with several grants, funding streams, and business revenue. Because it syncs with Intacct's dimensions, it's much more customizable than some other platforms, and it will link with your existing financial software so you don't have to compare things independently.

• Sage Intacct Planning helps with enabling me to import a variety of information to combine and compare data within my responsibilities.
• The services helps give us a snapshot using previous years data compared against current year to assist in predicting the upcoming financial issues and accomplishments.

• Some built-in help options can be challenging for non-finance folks to understand.
• For our organization, the learning curve was a little steeper than expected, but it's much smoother in round two.
• If you're importing instead of using the software to enter information, you may get some (or several) errors.

I have had great results and find it maneuverable and productive. Aside from a few things I would add (as noted before) for what I and my company use the services for it just fits.

Intacct Planning means we can focus on Intacct alone-- we don't have to work with outside spreadsheets in Google Docs, we don't have to re-format things from Excel, and we don't have to learn how to sync other planning software to Intacct. It streamlines our ability to create and manage our planning process, which is invaluable to a team our size.

• It's really helped bring our organization into the 21st century, away from manual data manipulations.
• Getting outside finance folks comfortable and familiar with the software has been a larger hurdle than expected.
• I think the cost would be more worthwhile the larger your organization is —it may be hard to justify for a group of fewer than 50 people.
