Cloudflare Access vs. Netskope NextGen SWG

I wanted to securely connect to my servers without getting tracked by malicious attackers, even though I was on public Wi-Fi. Security was my top priority, and I also wanted a setup that was easy and quick to start and provided great network performance. Cloudflare's Zero trust matches my criteria for becoming my first choice.

Netskope makes it easier to manage SaaS apps such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Office 365, and other enterprise applications by allowing different rules for personal and corporate accounts. It provides detailed control over these platforms. For example, in OneDrive, you can set policies so that a user is allowed to share files only with a specific domain or individual, and restrict sharing in the opposite direction as needed.

• Cloudflare still need to improve CASB direction to complete set of SASE tools.
• More integrations with the third-party agents to check device posture in the Zero Trust framework.
• More granularity in firewall rules for full replacement of on-premise solutions.

• Netskope NextGen SWG could improve in DLP enforcement. Sometimes policies don’t apply consistently across certain websites, even when configured.
• In custom connectors, DLP features are not supported.

Within a few hours, new engineers are trained in basic tasks and are quite happy they are able to resolve issues independently. After SSO is configured, onboarding is as simple as signing into m365 via a web browser popup.

I give Netskope NextGen SWG an 8 because it helps us maintain compliance and security effectively. The platform works reliably, and the granular control it provides over web activities is very strong. Compared to other solutions like Zscaler (ZIA), Netskope offers a deeper level of control, which makes it more effective for our needs.

Good chat support from the portal for basic questions and minor issues. The enterprise support line is provided as well.

Cloudflare was both the most feature-rich and cost-effective of comparisons. Presales engagement understood our challenges and was keen to solve them.

• The cost of Cloudflare Zero trust is much lower, hence reducing spending on infrastructure security.
• The Network performance is improved thanks to Warp protocol.
• Requires less maintenance and hence saves time.

• Complete Control of Web access regardless the location of user
• Deep Application control ( Eg. Allow access just the company tenant of a SaaS App)
