Colossyan

Colossyan is a great tool if you work frequently in PowerPoint since you can import slide decks. It also is great if you are looking to have video narration of your own voice, but don't have the time to record and narrate an entire video script and not having professional equipment to record. Colossyan will record a quick snippet of your voice and apply that to all scripts which saves a lot of time. Colossyan is less appropriate for scenarios where you want a lot of detail in your videos. Colossyan is pretty basic in what it can do such as animations. For example, if you have an arrow enter in a scene and then want it to exit, it has to be that exact animation again

• lack of realistic AI (vs what Synthesia offers). NEO 2 is the answer BUT limited
• lack of mods (like animations for the texts / images)
• Better voice mods too, too many robotic voices especially in different language than English. Need more adjustment we can do.

All the features in Colossyan are optimized for all levels of expertise in instructional design. The only reason I have reduced 2 rating points is that the quality of the final product varies a lot according to the skill level of the designer and their own aesthetic sense.

Compared to these products, its hard to pitch Colossyan against them in a certain way as they were used differently. The only competitor would be Synthesia. Synthesia has everything you want. All above Colossyan ; more tools, better ai, smoother etc. But it comes at a cost. The hard cap time limitation of 30 minutes of video a month is really a big deal breaker. If Colossyan would up their game closer to Synthesia, there will be no contest. Colossyan all the way.
