Everyware Cloud vs. JFrog Connect

Everyware Could is great for companies working with IoT who are in the early stages or have a very defined use case. If your use case is more abstract and changes rapidly, it may be difficult to support the required changes to your business model. Everyware Cloud is really good at the things it does well, but is not great at adapting.

For us, it has been well suited for monitoring devices that are placed remotely and have no easy access to. Most of our devices are sent to customers which we have little or no contact with. Rather than the customers finding a problem, reporting it to us and then us investigating it. We can just be notified of the problem and deal with it without the customer realising.

• Easy of getting started.
• Lots of device management features (location, VPN, remote commands).
• Robust API with multiple methods for extracting data.

• Accelerates remote management for iot devices
• Allows for remote upgrades and fleet management
• Alerts us when devices go offline allowing us to be more proactive with our customers

• Data query tool has limited options for slicing and dicing.
• Event automation is not intuitive.
• UI is out of date.

AWS IoT was in its very early stages when we first started using Everyware Cloud. While it provides a ton of flexibility, the learning curve to take advantage is much steeper. At this stage AWS IoT may be a better choice for us, but we have no regrets about using Everyware Cloud.

I haven't really found any other product or service which does the same as UpSwift, therefore I have not needed to look for alternative products

• Provided reliable data storage.
• Provided an operational tool to monitor the performance of our devices.
