Forescout Vistaro Platform vs. Pandora FMS

I strongly recommend using it in networks where many machines enter, it is essential to have a capture of all ids, mac etc to prevent and detect unauthorized machines.We are in the technological era and there is a lot of technological robotization looking for weak systems to enter.Invest in greater security and that does not happen to you.

I believe Pandora FMS is a solution that adapts to any type of scenario; it's useful for small businesses as well as large organizations. It more than meets the need to have a comprehensive monitoring system capable of sending alerts instantly and consulting historical data, logs, and trends. Additionally, for small businesses, the free version will be more than sufficient in most cases. And for those who do not want to deploy the service on-premise, there is an option for MaaS (Monitoring as a Service).

• Network Access Control does a great job of identifying unmanaged devices on the network and "quarantining" them.
• The inventory feature of CounterAct is a handy place to see what version of applications are running on which machines on our network.
• Policies can be very intricate.

• They should have more training for the versions of applications they update.
• It would be great if the GUI would be more aesthetic in appearance.

• The interface is not intuitive due to the number of options it has and its organization.
• It has a free version with limitations, and another paid version. The commercial one has a quite high cost.
• It has a certain learning curve.

The solution is very complete, and even includes extras such as IPAM.
Deployment can be a bit unintuitive at first, but once you become familiar with the solution and thanks to its automatic deployment options it ends up being easier than it seemed. The power and options of the solution are its greatest virtue.

They are prompt in their response with a complete resolution once they have identified the problem. Other OEM's generally give stop-gap arrangements and then later come with new upgrade versions. This gives downtime tasks to customers often, which isn't appreciated. Given the criticality of this software, their support is prompt.

The support team answers very quickly. They are always willing to find a solution to any need that is required by us or one of our clients.

Better intergration with patch management tools. Forescount Platfform (CounterAct) is easily compatible with diverse network infrastructure to offer better service and efficiently ensure seamless operations. Its automation capabilities have also enabled us to depend less on the operations teams hence saving time as it's faster and also saving the operational cost of having people around in case of threats.

Before using Pandora FMS, tests were carried out with all these tools:

• Nagios
• Zabbix
• System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• IBM Tivoli
• PRTG
• SolarWinds

Pandora FMS allows simple customization by making adjustments to text files, developing agent add-ons without the need to be a programmer, there is no scenario where we could not take data and save it in PandoraFMS, IoT, industrial products, and everything that any client needs to monitor.

• We've managed to automate our cybersecurity to impressive extents, now the IT security team puts focus on more important things.
• We've attained successful assets risk mitigation for our clients.

• Substantial improvement in monitoring service. Detecting alerts on time always results in economic savings.
• Improvement in the periodic report associated with the capacity plan. The tool is indispensable in decision-making.
