IBM Integration Bus vs. Perforce Zend

Routing, protocol transformation, message transformation and service aggregation are very well performed by WebSphere Message Broker (WMB). It is not very suitable for integration with databases.

We haven't found any scenarios where it's not appropriate, but it's well-suited for anyone wanting a stable PHP environment where Zend does the heavy lifting and you don't have to babysit the environment constantly.

Zend is the easiest PHP web server I've used, especially, again, for daily monitoring.

Websphere message broker supports a lot more protocols than any other similar tool.

The Zend Studio PHP IDE is great and has great integration with the Zend Server Platform.

• ROI - saved a ton of time not having to configure vanilla PHP.
• Zend framework is easily available and makes many programming tasks much easier.
• Day to day time savings since Zend essentially monitors itself.
