JFrog Connect vs. SAP IoT Application Enablement

For us, it has been well suited for monitoring devices that are placed remotely and have no easy access to. Most of our devices are sent to customers which we have little or no contact with. Rather than the customers finding a problem, reporting it to us and then us investigating it. We can just be notified of the problem and deal with it without the customer realising.

IoT Application Enablement is particularly useful when developing SAP UI5 applications that consume and use IoT data. There are many such examples in a number of business areas such as logistics, inventory management, process management, asset management, and others. IoT data is a key source of fuel for the intelligent enterprise.

• Accelerates remote management for iot devices
• Allows for remote upgrades and fleet management
• Alerts us when devices go offline allowing us to be more proactive with our customers

• Thing modeling is a particularly useful aspect of IoT Application Enablement.
• IoT Application Enablement supports a large number of IoT communication standards and protocols.
• It is quite easy to expose the Thing and IoT data as OData or other RESTful services

• I believe SAP is currently combining IoT Application Enablement into SAP Leonardo IoT. It will be worth seeing what extra features are available then.

While it is a good product, I feel like with SAP Leonardo IoT there will be a lack of support for this specific product. If it becomes part of the whole then this will be a much higher rating as their support is excellent. I'm just cautious while they combine several products into one. I have not used SAP Leonardo IoT yet.

I haven't really found any other product or service which does the same as UpSwift, therefore I have not needed to look for alternative products

• Ability to scale our network

• Being able to incorporate IoT data directly into web applications is quite valuable, both to our customers and to our business as well.
• IoT data has helped us take advantage of other intelligent technologies such as machine learning.
• Many of our clients are looking to integrate their devices into their workflows, and this technology is part of that solution.
