OpenText RFx Center enabled enterprises to automate, manage, and monitor their RFI, RFQ, RFP, and other procurement processes. It is a legacy product.
Leap (formerly JobProgress) helped us automate and simply our processes. We chose it over competitors because we were able to customize it to the different service offerings we provided - other platforms seem to be designed for one type of service or another making them problematic. We were able to reduce the number of software providers we use and integrate others that we were using separately. It is designed well to track [potential] jobs, but it does not work well for tracking business development opportunities.

OpenText RFX is well suited with Smaller or midsize organizations where it can be used as standalone solution. For large organization with Custom procurement processes and integration requirements with other business products like SAP, there are better solutions are available which can be evaluated with OpenText RFX product. Custom development processes are limited in OpenText RFX and there are some solutions like SAP SRM and Ariba can be evaluated.

We evaluated close to ten other platforms including Dataforma, Job Nimbus, AccuLynx, Propeller, FCS, etc., but chose Leap (formerly JobProgress) because of the flexibility it offered - customize our service offerings and how jobs flow through our process, automation through the process, integration with other vendors, and ease of use for the office and field.

Solutions like SAP Ariba are better suited for large enterprises with Custom processes and integration requirements with other ERP software like SAP ERP or S/4HANA products which are been used most of the fortune 500 companies. OpenText RFX is good for small and medium organizations with limited customization and integration requirements.
