NEOGOV Learn vs. SkyPrep LMS

Neogov is structured especially for local governments. They understand the needs of their customers and have the experience to help communities of any size acquire talented public servants. This is a public sector solution and probably isn't best suited for the private sector

SkyPrep LMS is well-suited to organizations that do not currently utilize an LMS. The support provided from step one through implementation is excellent. SkyPrep LMS not only wants to help make an organization run more efficiently when it comes to upskilling employees and/or clients, they also want to learn from the needs of organizations in order to better serve all of their clients.

• Succession Planning - Neogov offers various layers that prepares users for succession planning for government based positions (i.e. Police Chief, Fire Chief, etc.).
• Specialized Recruitment for Governments - Neogov specializes in helping governments find and hire within the diverse and ever changing field of municipal governance.
• Applicant Tracking - Neogov streamlines the application process when the time comes to hire a talented candidate(s).

• Building a class is super easy from pre-recorded powerpoints, videos
• Assessment Building and Quizzes are user friendly
• The reporting features for both internal and external use by clients is robust, but also controllable
• Very extensive administrative features can be administered dependent on client/company needs

• Customization can be tricky. I wish the platform could be more flexible.
• Neogov should look into offering more Administrative training resources. It can be difficult for a new user to immerse themselves within the platform.
• The reporting features within the platform could use an update.

I say 9 instead of 10 not because of any lack of confidence in SkyPrep but only because I can't be sure how large or responsive my market -- male-friendly social workers and other helping professionals -- will be to my offerings.

The user interface is simple, clean, and intuitive to use for both learners and educators. Learning modules can be arranged in any fashion creators/educators desire and have assessments embedded within. Ordering of modules can be enforced, and content can be made optional or required easily. Everything is from top to bottom is customizable.

[NEOGOV] offers a complete and modern talent management system for the Public Sector. It was built for the public sector which allows it to stand alone within the HR field. When using products such as Indeed.com and Linkedin local governments are lost within a much larger universe.

SkyPrep LMS was the most cost-effective solution that had all our desired features and functionality. Each platform has a lot of similarities and for us, ensuring ease of navigation and cost were top priorities. SkyPrep LMS appeared to be the most user-friendly -- the others had great features and functions, but SkyPrep LMS appeared as the cleanest.

• Neogov saves time for our HR operations. For example, candidates can complete pre-employment forms within the platform's Onboard feature. This saves resources (paper, ink, etc) and time allowing for a more efficient hiring process.
• Customer Service Efficiency - Unlike many commonly used HR products (ADP, Quickbooks, etc.) Neogov understands the challenges that are unique to local governments. When needed, their customer service teams are friendly and helpful saving you the headache of explaining your particular issue.
• Employee training features - Our employees are provided with insightful training opportunities which can be tracked and monitored annually.

• Previously we had a limited # of clients who paid for access to our LMS. SkyPrep LMS allows us to proudly charge for access to our LMS now. We expect to achieve our ROI in the next 12 - 34 months.
