Netvault Backup vs. NovaBACKUP

If you are using NV for backups and restores, it does the job very well. You can rely on the functions and time it as you prefer it to be executed. They have a great plug-in library which provides integrations of many applications and many databases. The updated versions support better job creations and restorations. You can easily depend on your backups without a hassle. However if you go ahead with its advanced features, you many need further support. Would not recommend using the Cleaning Tape module.There are issues in the reports provided. Also you may face with disk latency issues.

Provide data protection for small to media size clients. Sends comprehensive email reports upon job completion. Physical to Virtual Migrations. Backing up physical and virtual machines. Alerting on backup job success or failure. Support is could be a little better, but it is adequate. The application is frequently updated and supports the latest operating systems from Microsoft and VMware.

• Smartdisk disconnect oftenly.
• Web interface can be improved as it is clunky and looks outdated.

Pricing was on point with our requirement. A great deal compared to the other products we evaluated. We had recommendations from existing users in the region. Since our requirement was basic backups and restores and NV provided that, we were compelled to go with it as the implementation was very very easy.

Not as polished as Veeam, but a lot cheaper when backing up data from over 10 servers. Otherwise, if you are backing up just one server, and don't need much in the way of support, the Veeam Community edition is a very cost-effective backup solution. When comparing the support and cost of Novabackup for a small to mid-size business, it is a very reliable solution.

• Great pricing compared to competitors.
• Manual interference has gone down from almost 40% to initiate backups/recoveries.
